Pey Berland är ett historiskt torg som ligger i hjärtat av Bordeaux. Detta livliga torg är uppkallat efter Pey Berland Tower och erbjuder en blandning av arkitektonisk skönhet, kulturell betydelse och livlig energi. På detta torg kommer vi att prata om klocktornet, Saint Andre-katedralen och de berömda bröllop som ägde rum här. Här, i närheten av katedralen kommer vi att prova de bästa canneléerna i stan
Saint-André Cathedral, ett arkitektoniskt mästerverk som finns mitt i centrala Bordeaux. Det står inte bara som en ledstjärna för tro utan har också betydelse längs den historiska pilgrimsleden Camino de Santiago. Dessutom är det också där några av medeltidens mest ikoniska bröllop ägde rum.
Byggnaden byggdes ursprungligen mellan 1771 och 1784 och fungerade som ärkebiskopens palats i Bordeaux. För närvarande behåller det sin betydelse som stadens administrativa nav och en framstående miljö för officiella sammankomster och ceremonier
Rue des Remparts i Bordeaux, Frankrike, är en charmig gata rik på historia och kantad av vackra byggnader och små hantverksbutiker. Bokstavligen översatt till "Vollarnas gata", frammanar det stadens medeltida förflutna, en gång omgiven av skyddande murar. På den här gatan kommer vi att stanna till vid flera matställen för att prova lite bröd/bakelser, göra en honungsprovning och köpa lite charkuterier.
Denna välvda port står vid platsen för en historisk ingång till staden, som går tillbaka till antiken, inklusive romartiden. Bevis tyder på att denna plats en gång var hem för ett tempel som hedrar gudomen Jupiter. Andra hävdar att det var barriären mellan den historiska staden Bordeaux och det judiska distriktet. Idag står det som ett av stadens mest ikoniska monument, definitivt värt att se.
Denna Grands Hommes ligger i hjärtat av Bordeauxs gyllene triangel och visar upp raffinerad arkitektur, exklusiva butiker, kulturella platser och några av stadens främsta restauranger. Under 1700-talet fungerade detta område som stadens livliga gamla marknad, men med tiden, allt eftersom Bordeaux utvecklades, förvandlades marknaden till den eleganta stadsdelen som den är idag.
Place de la Comédie sticker ut som den största platsen i Bordeaux, inte bara för sitt torg utan också för de fantastiska vyerna som det erbjuder från alla vinklar. Här hittar du det berömda Grand Théâtre (operan) och det lyxiga Grand Hôtel de Bordeaux mitt emot varandra (båda är också hem för två michelin-stjärniga restauranger). Från varje hörn sträcker sig avenyer i fjärran och avslöjar sevärdheter som Monument aux Girondins vid Place des Quinconces. I närheten av operan kommer vi att prova olika varianter av choklad från en av de äldsta chokladinstitutioner i Bordeaux
Även känd som Bordeaux lungor, denna 11 hektar stora trädgård är hem för en mängd olika växtarter, ett perfekt picknickmål och helt enkelt en oas av lugn mitt i den livliga staden.

An absolutely wonderful experience. Alexandra was a terrific tour guide. She blended historical information about Bordeaux with the food and wine we tasted. It was a great sampling of the food in Bordeaux, and the charcuterie she put together for the wine tasting was superb. We all enjoyed the tour tremendously and recommend it very highly.
If you love good food, good wine, history and being in good company the this tour is for you. Our guide Alexandra (who runs The Bordeaux Foodie) was informative, friendly, professional and funny. An absolute blast! Alexandra told us all about the history of the foods we were eating and connected historical figures to the foods. She was so knowledgeable it was the best food tour we’ve ever done! 12 out of 10 recommend!

Fabulous tour! Alex is aptly named the Bordeaux Foodie and conveys a real passion for the city and its gourmet offerings, along with interesting and amusing anecdotes linking the food to the city’s history. Fantastic introduction to local sweet treats and a local beekeeper’s shop devoted to an astonishing range of delicious honeys … heaven! Plus, of course, shops dedicated to cheeses, meats and chocolate, where selections were made for our lunch, according to our tastes. Finally, Alex prepared a delicious platter of these while we were introduced to Bordeaux wines in a local cave and then we munched our way through the guided pairings with a couple of glasses of wine. Delicious! A very pleasurable morning; great food, interesting chat (and no up-selling) and to be thoroughly recommended! Thank you Alex!

Amazing tour of Bordeaux filled with delights! It’s rare to have an excursion tailored with such thoughtfulness, and the special touches did not go amiss. Alexandra was brilliant at introducing us to each stop in a fun and informative way. It felt like a natural family day out! This was the only tour we could find that my 8 month old nephew could join too! The treats were delicious and the order of them was perfect. We could 100% recommend!!
