Därefter besöker du det vackra klostret Curchi, ett av landets mest imponerande kloster. Gamla Orhei är den mest pittoreska och historiskt betydelsefulla platsen i Moldavien. Besök det gamla Orhei arkeologiska komplexet och det medeltida stadsmuseet, där gamla civilisationer, dramatiska kalkstensklippor och traditionellt landsbygdsliv möts. Grottkloster hugget i kalkstensklippor Forntida befästningar och ruiner Hembygdsmuseet Lär dig om regionens medeltida historia medan du beundrar hisnande vyer över Răut River Valley. Upplevelsen avslutas med tid för lunch i Butuceni (lunch är valfri och betalas separat). Under detta besök kommer du att upptäcka olika vines smaker och underbara traditionella rätter. Idag besöker vi en av de mest pittoreska platserna i Moldavien - Kultur- och naturreservatet «Orheiul Vechi» (Cave Monastery Complex) - 55 km från Chisinau. Här ser du ett ortodoxt grottakloster som heter "St. Maria Dormata ”expanderade och modifierades inuti klipporna av munkarna under århundraden sedan och bevarades i ett funktionellt tillstånd. Efter utflykten äter vi lunch med ett folkprogram på den moldaviska familjepensionen i grannbyn.

Our tour guide was Ecaterina and she was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable, friendly, patient and with a good sense of humour! I loved the versatility of the tour and especially enjoyed the cave monastery, the church on a hill and the Cricova Winery. This tour is a must while in Moldova and I could not recommend it enough!

It was a good tour - nice to travel outside of Chisinau. The first stop was a monastery complex which was very beautiful. The second stop was the monastery in the cave - there is an uphill walk and then stairs to walk down. Wear comfortable shoes. The landscape is very lovely. We then had lunch in a local place (separate cost) and the cheese pie was delicious. After there was an optional tour of Cricova. Make sure you take a hoodie or jacket as the tunnels are 12 degrees. Natalia our guide and Constantine our driver were great.

A gem of an experience! For some reason, we were in a group of 4 which made the tour super personalized and at a calm pace. The guide shared informative bytes about the history, culture and heritage of Moldova linked to the sites visited. The visit to the cave sanctuary was wonderful. The Cricova winery seemed to be fully booked for a tasting at the last minute, but the tour was still informative. The coordination was managed well by the agency. The lunch was delicious and very local. Card payments were accepted at all destinations. Driving was safe and on time as per the plan.
