Tour of Saranda

Vi turnerar och utforskar Saranda, en stad med mer än 2000 års historia (även känd som Onhezmi). Saranda ligger på Albaniens sydkust, rik på sällsynta värden på albanska och europeiska kulturella och arkeologiska arv. Vi kommer att utforska The Incoming Gate of Onhezmi (ett monument); ett arkeologiskt museum; Museum of Heritage; ett konstgalleri; Den ortodoxa kyrkan; Castle of Lekuresi och V-VI Synagogue Complex (inom slottet).

På denna turné kör vi upp till (och utforskar) Lekuresis fästning, som tros ha byggts år 1537, då Sultan Sulejmani angripit Korfu. Slottet ligger i ruinerna av Lekuresi byn, på toppen av kullen, över staden Saranda. Det är verkligen en strategisk position där du kan se hela Bay of Saranda, vägen som leder till Butrint och öarna Ksamil. Dessutom kan du också se ön Korfu. Vi kommer också att besöka V-VI-synagogkomplexet, som ligger inom slottet på dess östra sida - att i den sista fasen omvandlades det judiska kultkomplexet till en kristen kultbyggnad: den paleochristiska basilikan.
Vi kommer att besöka monumentet: The Incoming Gate of Onhezmi; den albanska numismatiska utställningen det arkeologiska museet; Museum of Heritage, konstgalleriet och den ortodoxa kyrkan

Fantastic tour of Saranda. My guide was a wonderful young lady who excelled by showing lots of knowledge about Saranda and Albanian history. I also leaened a lot about living in Saranda today. The tour is organized by a small family business. I really enjoyed the tour!

Living the sea 100% staying on the seafront is possible in Saranda, having a very large and equipped public beach with a wonderful sea and many bars and restaurants on hand. Wide choice of motor boat trips to nearby beautiful Ksamil or other beaches and notable points of interest along the southern Albanian coast. Lacking the nightlife seen the flourishing of countless commercial premises with a very young target, even teen!

An excellent and informative walking tour of Sarande with guide Erald, who translated the curators talks at the museums to ensure we understood the history of the city and the country of Albania too. Culminated in a car ride to the castle which over looked the town with spectacular views across the plains and the bay. Half a day we’ll spent!

Saranda is a destination that can not miss on the list of the Balkans and if by chance you happen to happen in these parts and I wish you so... refer to Teatours I think best agency on site.... we were picked up at the airport in Tirana..... The guide was called Gazi that we thank infinitely sincerely because he advised us to lengthen the road to saranda to look at the coast is the panorama that this nation has to offer!!!!! Goose bumps!
