The tour was alright. The thing that upset me is that at the end of tour they try to get you to buy their rum by telling you that you can take it on the plane. That was a lie. You have to check it in a bag. They do not tell you that. I even asked our tour guide if I could take it on the plane with me and she said yes. I believed her. She said as long as I don’t open it. Of course, at the airport, security confiscated my 2 bottles. When I reached out to the company to let them know what happened and if they could ship me the two bottles that we’re taken from me, I never heard back from them. Very poor Customer Service in my opinion.
Bring water and prepared to have a good time and to taste all the good rums! Would def go back again
The guide was so nice and very knowledgeable. Tasting 22 rum flavors was amazing. The cheesecake and pineapple were my favorite. I got some gelato and rum cake to go bc it was delicious as well.
Our tour guide was so much fun and kept the shots of rum coming! Definitely glad we did this tour before we left!
Had a great time at Toppers. Learning the history of Toppers Rhum and the tastings were well worth the visit. It’s a must see location in SXM.

I had an amazing experience at Topper’s Rhum Distillery! The tour was both fun and educational. I learned a lot about the rum-making process, the different types of rum, and what makes each flavor unique. The rum tasting was excellent, and I especially enjoyed sampling the rum cake and the delicious seasoning used on the chicken. The variety of rum flavors was phenomenal, and there was truly something for everyone to enjoy. Cristina was an outstanding guide and teacher. She made the tour engaging, informative, and entertaining from start to finish. One of the highlights of the experience was getting the opportunity to participate in bottling a bottle of rum myself. If you’re visiting St. Maarten, I highly recommend adding Topper’s Rhum Distillery to your itinerary. It’s a memorable experience filled with great flavors, hands-on activities, and friendly staff.
Lots of different rums to experience...guava, cotton candy, jalapeño lime, anyone? As a bonus there is ice cream + a restaurant in the same building. My flight was cancelled and they allowed me to swap my reservation date without any hassle.
The tour was great! My party and I went to Toppers straight from the plane! Our flight was delayed, so we were 20 mins late to our tour. Though we were late, the staff still accommodated us and allowed us to join the tour! There was such a wide variety of flavors, some we loved and some we hated. We definitely left feeling buzzed and like we got our bang for our buck! Best part is we woke up the next morning with no headache! I appreciate how hands on and inclusive the tour guide was during her presentation. Allowing the guest to physically participate in activities during the tour made it all the more memorable. 10/10, would def recommend!
