Toshogu-helgedomen är en shinto-helgedom tillägnad Tokugawa Ieyasu, den första shogunen i Edo-shogunatet, och är också en av Japans viktigaste historiska och kulturella platser. Iroha Mountain Road är en av de "Topp 100 vägar i Japan". Det är 15,8 kilometer från Nikko City till Chuzenjisjön och Oku-Nikko. Det finns totalt 48 svängar på upp/ner rutten. Chuzenjisjön är den högsta naturliga sjön i Japan. I Chuzenjisjön finns azaleor på våren, gröna träd på sommaren, röda löv på hösten och snöiga landskap på vintern. Det finns en vacker natur för turister att njuta av under alla fyra årstider. Den är särskilt känd för sina azaleor på våren och röda löv på hösten. Under denna tid kommer en stadig ström av människor på besök med sina kameror för att fånga sina favoritbilder.
Kegonfallen är ett av de tre kända vattenfallen i Japan och ett populärt turistmål. Vattnet från Chuzenji Lake bildar Ojiri River i dess östra ände, korsar Mount Nantai, och rinner ner från en höjd av 700 meter och utgör huvuddelen av vattenfallet, som är 99 meter högt. Den övre klippan skjuter fram och 12 små vattenfall rinner ut ur bergsklyftan. På hösten är de omgivande röda löven täckta med vackra landskap. Det är turistcentrum i Nikko nationalpark. Den är perfekt för att ta bilder och har en konstnärlig uppfattning om berg och strömmande vatten.

Excursion very complete..First seeing the temples of Nikko, then we went to a lake where we took an optional boat ride and finally we went to see some waterfalls. Both the guide Jeffrey ate the chauffeur were very friendly and after the excursion we were given a souvenir of Mount Fuji

The place is truly special - historic, beautiful, and interesting. Visiting it was among the highlights of our trip to Tokyo. Without it, learning the history of the place would be much poorer. There are two items that I would suggest for improvement: 1. Tourist guide - his English and the volume of knowledge need to be enhanced as well as the presentation skills. 2. The mini-bus used by the tour provider is to be upgraded to a full-size tourist class comfortable bus - the trip of 2.5 hours duration each way was rather tiring in a small vehicle. Finally, the entrance fee to the Shrine is to be included in the overall cost so as to avoid any unnecessary questions and confusion.

The sights visited were interesting but bad organised. First It was difficult to find our guide amongst an anarchic crowd of tourists. No distinctive sign to know who was our guide. Then we began the visit by the temple in the morning when it was full of tourists and in the afternoon we went to the observatory, the lake and the waterfall when the sun has turned in front of us. Very bad for the photos. Waterfalls were in the dark and these last sights were exposed with the sun in front of us. I recommend this tour but with another better organised agency.

The sights you will see are amaizing. The tour guides are very young and very inexperienced. A lot of helpful information in respect to which ticket is needed, can you make the shrine and museum visit in two hours or where is best place to have lunch for example were missing.
