Se pensionerade sumobrottare utföra traditionella rörelser, träningsövningar och sumomatcher medan en livevärd förklarar allt på både Japanska och Engelska. Du får lära dig om vinnande tekniker, förbjudna drag och innebörden bakom sumos traditioner. Höjdpunkten för många gäster är chansen att själv kliva in i ringen och prova en rolig sumoutmaning. – Platserna är begränsade och om många vill vara med väljs deltagarna ut genom lottning. Medan du njuter av showen kan du njuta av allt-du-kan-äta kyckling hot pot (Chanko-nabe) med en Japansk set måltid och en gratis drink. I slutet, ta ett foto med sumobrottare och få en souvenir presentset för att minnas din upplevelse.

We had such a fun time! We ate plenty of delicious food, watched the sumo show from the front row, and even went on stage in costumes with the sumo wrestlers. I laughed so much! 😄 It’s definitely a tourist experience, but in the best way you learn a little about sumo history and Japanese culture while being entertained and very well fed. Fun, interactive and a great memory from Japan!

I absolutely loved this experience and happy we were able to do it because it was so entertaining. I enjoyed the Geisha performance at the beginning of the show and enjoyed learning about sumo- the rules, workout routines, and eating regimen. The sumo wrestlers fought 3 rounds so that we could see what a real match was like and it was great to see and experience. The audience members vs the sumo wrestlers was hilarious and definitely one of the highlights of the show. I really loved that some laughs/playfulness was mixed in such a serious event. The food was ok to me.... my husband really enjoyed it. I did not like the drinks. We ordered the lemon sour drinks and ginger ales.... both were like water. My husband got a beer and enjoyed it. We received 2 printed photos and was able to have our photo taken with our cellphone. This was a really nice takeaway after such great experience. Check out this event while in Tokyo..... you will love it!
We had so much fun at the Sumo Chicken Hot Pot experience in Tokyo! It was entertaining, informative, and absolutely hilarious from start to finish. The audience participation had everyone laughing, and the geisha performance added a wonderful cultural touch. The hot pot was delicious—we enjoyed it so much we ordered seconds! A fantastic experience that combined great food, fun, and Japanese culture. Highly recommend!
I booked this sumo experience expecting something authentic. I understand it’s not sumo season, but honestly, having this Florida guy explain everything and then watching a show that felt more like a comedy for kids was really disappointing. It came across as a tourist trap rather than a genuine cultural experience.
