It was one of the highlights of our short trip to Japan. The experience was so worth it. We learned so much more about the culture aside from getting to try the kimonos. Our guides Lena and Mia are very pleasant and knowledgeable. They make you feel so right at ease. Got to meet Akita, the business owner who is equally very gracious as well. Love that we get to walk to the Meiji shrine with our kimonos and was able to take beautiful pictures, learned so much more about the history and the rituals. They have so many beautiful kimonos to choose from. Everything was very organized. Place was close to the train station, and easy to find. Highly recommend doing this wonderful experience. Thank you for making it happen
Thank you very much for visiting us! We greatly appreciate your kind words for Lena and Mia, as well as your thoughtful mention of our owner, Akita. It means a lot to us that you felt comfortable and were able to enjoy not only wearing the kimono, but also learning more about Japanese culture and history. We're so happy to know that your walk to Meiji Shrine and the photos you took became such special memories. If you ever return to Japan, we would be honored to welcome you again.
This was a very good experience for us. We got to wear traditional Japanese kimono while touring the Meiji Temple during their holiday. Our original tour guide was sick but the intern stepped up and showed us around the temple.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We’re glad to hear that you enjoyed wearing traditional Japanese kimono while touring Meiji Shrine. We apologize for the change in your tour guide due to illness, but we’re happy that our intern was able to step in and assist you during the visit. Your understanding means a lot to us. We hope the experience left you with wonderful memories, and we would love to welcome you again whenever you visit Japan next time.
You first choose from a collection of kimonos, geta, & obi. They help you get dressed (privately & professionally) and for a small extra fee they offer ladies hairstyles. Then you walk a short distance to Meiji shrine where you go on a guided tour. Our dresser & tour- guide was Mia. She was very patient, friendly, & knowledgeable. The shrine was beautiful in scenery & architecture. The experience had very worldly old-fashioned vibes. A nice reprieve from the hustle & bussle of modern life.
Hi! Thank you very much for your review! We were very happy that you three enjoyed it. You guys all looked very nice in your kimonos. Not only that, you were very kind and polite. Thanks for coming from New Jersey! Until we meet again.
