Very fun demonstration that taught us a lot about sumo. 6 people from the audience got to participate in sumo training and match. Everyone got to take pictures with sumotori.
Exceptional sumo experience from start to finish. Located on a shopping street, you are encouraged to bring food in and sit back and watch the first part of the show which details the history of sumo as well as the traditional rituals and rules. Next the sumo wrestlers come out and give you a spectacular show before they invite you to put on your own mawashi and step into the ring yourselves. My husband and I, the grandparents and my kids had so much fun. Definitely a highlight of our trip. A must see and do while in Japan!

Not only was the sumo show mind-blowing and hilarious, but the location itself is amazing. It’s located right in a traditional Japanese shopping street (shotengai). We had so much fun exploring the local street food before the show and bringing some snacks with us. Getting to interact with real wrestlers in such an authentic neighborhood felt like the "real" Japan. Unforgettable!

This sumo experience was fantastic, but what made it even better was the journey through the local shopping street to get there. It felt so authentic and peaceful compared to the crowded tourist hubs in Tokyo. The people in the neighborhood were incredibly welcoming. Inside the venue, the show was highly educational and getting in the ring with the friendly giants was a blast. Highly recommended!
