Vi erbjuder en praktisk workshop där du kan uppleva handgjord washi, ett traditionellt japanskt hantverk. Tosa Washi, med över 1000 års historia, är en av Japans tre bästa washitidningar. Känd för sin styrka och värme, är det lätt att prova och gör för en minnesvärd Asakusa upplevelse - perfekt för fans av hantverk eller japansk kultur. Efter en kort video om Tosa Washis historia och process kommer du att bära traditionella arbetskläder (samma) och göra washivykort med hjälp av en trevlig instruktör. I både planen för vanligt papper och planen för färgat papper får du handarbeta fyra vanliga vykort. Planen för färgat papper innehåller ett extra steg: att lägga vackra Rakusuishi i lager – spetsliknande dekorativ washi – ovanpå. Du kan välja din favorit fyra färger. Workshopen är full av leenden och förvåning över skönheten i det färdiga papperet. Ta hem din handgjorda washi som en speciell souvenir.

Kazu did an amazing job with the group. He was patient and inclusive and made sure everyone had fun. Highly recommended experience!
Kazu was a wonderful instructor. My friend and I took a car to Watashino and were happily greeted by Kazu. He explained everything so well and loved learning about the way washi paper was made. He had everything lined up perfectly so we could learn as well on a smaller scale. We loved our postcards we made! The gift shop attached is so cute too! Great souvenirs! Thank you Kazu and team!

This is an amazing experience! I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Japan, it was such an interesting learning experience about how washi is made and walking away with some handmade paper that we made ourselves isthe best souvenir we can possibly take home

It was a washi-making experience I had always wanted to try. It was a hot day, but I was able to experience it in a cool and comfortable atmosphere indoors, and the teacher was cheerful and talked lightly while explaining washi, which was a wonderful experience.
