Best way to see Timanfaya. You will be able to see portions of the park where Cara are not allowed. Beautiful landscape
Regarding the food, they do not offer options; they take you to a restaurant of their choice. If you like it, fine, and if not, you go without eating. Additionally, the time is 12:30, almost snack time. As for the itinerary of the excursion, they include a visit to La Geria, and I was left wanting to see it. They stop you at a bar where they offer you a wine tasting, and you see the grapes along the road as you pass by. I found this to be misleading advertising. Be careful with what you book. The excursions are not cheap at all.
Extraordinary amazing visit
Great to see the volcanos and drive through the lava fields. Stop at winery was so disappointing, given a very small “shot” of wine and that was it. No information, history or anything. They missed an opportunity to sell it!
Timanfaya visit was good and well worth the visit. The green lake at Golfo was uninspiring, but interesting to sum. We did not do the camel ride. The visit to the winery at La Geria was disappointing. The guide on the coach was good, giving interesting and clear commentary in three languages including English. At the winery there was a small sample of the wine, but no further talk or tour of the place. I found an information board at the end of the car park that gave me more. If you have seen from a coach and read about the method of wine growing the visit offered little else than a gift shop. The main tour coach was comfable, but the coach that took us back from the winery to Playa Blanca was old and on its last legs and sounded as if the transmission was about to fail !
Very informative and friendly staff looked after everyone and took time to answer questions. Wine trip very different
The drive through Timanfaya really was the stand out activity of the tour. The national park looks like you're on Mars! The driver did an incredible job and kept us all feeling safe on the winding volcano road. It seems from photos the tour stops at different wineries so perhaps that's a bit random. I didn't love the place we stopped at. That said it's really interesting to see the landscapes of Lanzarote and I highly recommend the tour as an easy way to see Timanfaya, which you cannot drive through yourself. Save yourself hours in line in a rental car only to board a bus anyways. Opt for a tour!
We are already disappointed by the organization in the morning we arrived early buses arriving as we did not know which one we should take and people to direct us. So it took more than 15 minutes to get the right bus. After the not jovial guide and you could see that he was jaded no effort to talk to us. We are French and speaking Spanish he made no effort. On the way back the bus broke down 🥴 again it explained nothing we had to wait for the replacement bus fortunately tourists warned us. When we got to our destination no goodbye. I didn't leave a tip. Nobody who should retire. Luckily the scenery was beautiful it caught up with the rest of the experience.
Very nice blends of different activities, well timed lunch, actual volcano experience is very positive, didn't expect such impressionable bus tour heading to national park and even camel ride is worth it.
We throughly enjoyed our South Island trip today. The guide was very knowledgable and everything is timed well. I think this trip is well worth the money. The coach is clean, tidy and there was air conditioning. The driver was very skilled round all the winding roads. Many thanks for a great day!
