För er alla som vill se mer än de vanliga sevärdheterna eller för dem som är angelägna om att ta reda på vad socialismen och kommunismen handlade om, har vi ritat turen till New Zagreb: Tillbaka till socialismens turné. Korsar över floden Sava, kommer du att komma in helt annat landskap, upptäcka en mycket komplex sida av Zagreb som inte besöks av turister någonsin. Här får du se utvecklingen av vår stad sedan efter andra världskrigets era, främst genom den "mystiska" tiden av kommunismen och se hur den andas idag eftersom det fortfarande är Zagrebs huvudbyggnad. Nya Zagreb är för närvarande också en vagga till en mycket livlig kroatisk samtidskonstplats.

Excellent exposure to new Zagreb and modern life near the city with socialist architecture also. You get to see the river, which is not close to old Zagreb.

Had a great Back to Socialism ride with Alida - a really good opportunity to see parts of (new) Zagreb you wouldn’t otherwise see (and learning about them along the way). Plus cycling around the - parks, fountains and monuments - in the older part of town. Alida is engaging and kept everything fresh and interesting and the time flew by. The bikes are sturdy and comfortable, with seat height adjusted for you. Helmets are provided. I love old Zagreb - but it’s good also to cycle out of it and explore a different part of Croatia’s capital . And this tour provided exactly that opportunity!

It was a good experience to see a bit of "New Zagreb". Despite being a hot day our guide Ferran took us through shaded places and recommended us to bring water. The walk was very pleasant and pleasant.
I had chosen a tour where we would also hear about recent history, hence the socialism tour. As a result, we also saw another Zagreb, not just the beautiful buildings that can be seen in the center. For example: The grey flats when it was a communist country. A war that has (only) been over for 30 years. Next week they will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the end of the war. A country that is struggling with the introduction of the euro and given that many people live in poverty.
We went the back to Socialism Tour. Alida created a fantastic bike tour for my girlfiend and me. She adapted the tour when we told her what we had already seen in historical Zagreb to include som things of old Zagreb which we had not seen yet. Alida is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. She created an unforgettable experience for us. We crossed the river Sava by bike and went to explore New Zagreb, where lots of Zagrebans live. Many quarters date back to Tito’s times. Extremely interesting tour. The best thing we did during our 3 days stay in Zagreb!

Alida was a great guide and it was good to see more of the city than just the centre. All of us enjoyed the tour and learned more about the city.
Fun bike excursion to see Zagreb by bike and learn the history of the city. We had already walked around quite a bit before the tour but seeing the city by bike with the accompanying history lesson was quite fun. Alida took us through the tunnels (so cool) and got us up close for the 12:00 firing of the cannon. I would highly recommend this tour.
