Tierra del Fuego National Park Vandring och paddling i Lapataia Bay

Beskrivning

Tierra del Fuego National Park( Tierra del Fuego) Argentina. Tierra del Fuego extends through Argentina to the east and Chile to the west. The capital and starting point for excursions is the capital Ushuaia-also called the end of the world. Through beautiful wooden walkways we go through the national park. Impressive and unique landscape with large lake, hiking tour (hiking) recommended, between mountains, lakes and islands. Also in the National Park:Beaver Landscapes -which is seen as a plague because they gnaw off wood and build up their dams for kilometers. Some of the beavers weigh 30 kg.
Thank you so much for your comment, Jentho! We're thrilled to hear you had such a wonderful experience visiting the beautiful Tierra del Fuego National Park. You're always welcome back whenever you'd like to visit us again. Best wishes!
the tour walked a lot and exercised a lot (kayaking), but the view is amazing in the woods and on the water! the guide also showed us some mushrooms from the ground that are edible, very interesting experience! the lunch place also has great view!
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We truly hope you’ll come back and visit us again in the future, we'll be waiting for you with open arms. Warm regards from the deep south!
Morning hike through the Park, delicious lunch in a geodesic dome in the park, and then paddling in a raft on Lapataia Bay. Carolina was a super guide.
Thank you so much, Inge, for sharing your experience with us! We can't wait to welcome you back on your next visit to the End of the World!
We booked this tour as it was advertised as a thrilling inflatable canoe experience followed by a medium-difficulty hike taking in rivers, forest, sea views and mountains within Tierra del Fuego National Park. Unfortunately, our experience did not match the description. The rafting section used inflatable white water style rafts (dinghies) rather than canoes, which was acceptable. However, our guide provided no meaningful guidance or commentary. For the first 30 minutes he spoke almost exclusively to his colleague, and throughout the trip he offered no information, no paddling instruction, and very little engagement and kept talking with his colleague instead of interacting with the group. The other guide in our group with the other boat could be heard actively sharing facts and interacting with their guests. Our raft grounded several times while the other did not, which suggested he was not paying proper attention. When entering Lapataia Bay in strong winds, no safety guidance or direction was given, which was concerning. I'm afraid the guide detracted from our experience. The afternoon "medium-difficulty" hike was instead a very easy walk through woodland, then along roads and paths beside the same river we had just travelled on. There were no new landscapes, features, or viewpoints revealed, and we did not encounter the sea or mountain scenery highlighted in the advertising. The warnings about needing proper preparation were unnecessary and comparable to a stroll in a normal public park. Although the natural setting was beautiful, the walking component was not as described. Overall, a disappointing day that we would not recommend as a way to experience the national park.
Dear Christopher, Thank you very much for taking the time to write to us and share your experience. Your feedback is invaluable, and it allows us to continuously improve our services. Even with over 25 years of experience, we strive every day to keep learning and offering better excursions. First and foremost, I want to express how much we regret that your experience did not live up to your expectations. This truly distresses us, as our main goal is to make our passengers happy, and it seems we fell short this time. Please be assured that we will work with our team to enhance the guide engagement during the paddling portion. Additionally, we would like to offer some context on a few points so you have the explanations you deserve: Safety and Paddling Instructions: Technical and safety instructions for the paddle trip are always provided before boarding, ensuring all passengers are fully prepared for the activity and have precise information on how to handle every situation. No paddling excursion ever begins without a comprehensive technical and safety briefing. The Hike: During the week you took the excursion, Ushuaia was exposed to unusually strong winds. As a result, the National Park authority had closed most of the trails we typically use for safety reasons. For this specific reason, our guide designed a series of walks using the approved and accessible paths, ensuring the hike was of equal duration while remaining entirely safe. We understand that our explanations will not change your perception of the excursion, but we feel obligated to share this information and let you know that we take every criticism and opinion seriously. We will do everything possible to improve the experiences of our future passengers. Best regards from everyone at CANAL.
OMG, this was the best day ever! Valentin(o?) was our guide and you could not wish for a better one. The day was beautiful, calm weather, stunning views, tasty lunch and fun canoeing! Oir group was great. Everything on this trip was nicely organised, guides were knowledgeable and the photographer made amazing pics! Despite spending 10 weeks in South America and having many amazing experiences - the day of this trip is still in top 5! As well Valentin is the best guide I had all over my trips. Thanks to him I loved the canoeing so much (as well, we were the fun/fab team 😉) that I went a step further towards end of my trip and did river rafting in Cusco! Whoooa!
Magnificent tour in Ushuaia. Our guide was amazing, with knowledge of the area and very friendly, always speaking in English and Spanish. The trails are beautiful! The peak is canoeing in the Bay Lapataia, where we can really enter this dream landscape and experience nature in an unimaginable way. I recommend everyone who is looking for a unique and amazing experience
Our guide Joaquin was excellent, very informative and made the day very enjoyable. Good split between the trekking and canoeing. Beautiful scenery. Very enjoyable.
Great hike in National park with our guide Joaquin who was entertaining and informative about the history, nature and geology of the park. Lunch in one of the interesting domes included a hearty lamb stew, Argentinian Malbec and dessert. It was delicious and very filling. Canoeing on Lake Lapataia was fun and hard work once the wind picked up. Really enjoyable experience exploring the park and lake. Thanks so much🤩
Nice easy hike with mild up and down. Beach. forest. Fun raft ride. Saw orcas Great guide. Great hot stew lunch in a geode
Excellent guiding by Sebastian. Very informative tour from the naturalist side, both on the water (paddle) and hike.
