Our guide was amazing! We took the cable car to the top of the mountain where the views overlooking the sea were stunning. Our guide met us at the top with the car and we continued the tour from there. We learned about the history and visited a local place for delicious prosciutto, cheese, and wine. We also visited Cetinje Monastery and tried some local delicacies. Amazing experience!
We visited Kotor on a busy weekend but this tour let us escape the crowds and enjoy a relaxed, personalized tour. We met early enough to avoid the old town crowds, took a walking tour and picked up our car. We took the cable car up Mount Lovcen to avoid the winding road to the top. It's a beautiful panoramic ride in a cable car. We hadn't planned on trying the Alpine Coaster at the summit but there wasn't a line and we thought it was very fun. We went to the Njegoš Mausoleum which also has beautiful views into several countries if you don't mind a bit of a hike to the top. Our lunch stop was a family farm with wonderful food and local beverages. Our guide Mirko navigated the narrow roads perfectly and gave us great insights into local history, culture and traditions. Overall, it was an ideal introduction to Montenegro.
Thank you so much for your amazing review...
Picked up by our driver / guide Mirko who was so attentive. He was on time, speaks perfect English, has traveled and worked in the US and is from a small Montenegro village. We hit all the sights and went up the serpentine road into a beautiful valley where we had a snack and relaxed. Then we had a choice to make - go one way to a destination where we would climb more than 450 steps or go the opposite directions and see the old Royal City. The city was lovely. Mirko made sure we were comfortable and he let us out several times close to where we would see the attractions and went to park. He is a graduate of the school of travel and tourism and he has a great knowledge of his country’s history. This is a wonderful tour and he is a wealth of knowledge and delightful to speak with. Do it!!
Wow! Thank you so so much for this stunning review about your experience that you had with our tour guide... Wish you all the best!
Mirko was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He gave us interesting information about the sites as well as historical background. He also was flexible and modified the tour to include or exclude certain places for us.
Thank you so much for this amazing review, we really appreciate it, and we are happy that you had nice day with Mirko...
We spent a wonderful day with Mirko! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about the area. Our tour couldn’t have been better. We highly recommend!
Thank you so much for your words..Wish you all the best!
Great tour. Petar was friendly, a great driver and knowledgeable. We highly recommend!!!!
Thank you so much for doing a tour with us!
Our family plus 85 year old mom enjoyed the great tour! We had a previous walking tour of old town and Mirko shifted to another area to discover other places of interest for us. What you will find: Mirko is warm, knowledgeable, and flexible to meet your tour needs! You will not be disappointed!
Thank you so much! Wish you all the best
Mirko was a great host for our short Montenegro stay. He was exceptionally knowledgeable about his country and we enjoyed our tour. We stopped at the oldest restaurant in the country and sampled their prosciutto and local wines. What a delight. With every twisting switchback combined with dense fog, we were grateful to have such a skilled driver.
Thank you so much Mr. Nathan for those amazing words for our tour guide. Best regards for you.
We had the pleasure of doing a private tour with Mirko. He was absolutely amazing. From the minute he met us at the port, until he dropped us off, everything was perfect. He gave us so much history and information about Montenegro. We enjoyed visiting with him about his life and life in his country. He always gave us the option for timing in each stop, and was flexible with his time with us. He was an excellent driver on some very difficult roads. If you are thinking of booking this tour-do not hesitate! It was excellent!
Thanks a lot for such a great review...Pleasure was all ours.
We toured with Mirko on this day, and he was an outstanding guide and driver. We give Mirko an outstanding rating - he's a fun guy to talk to, he has great insights for the areas you visit, his English skills are top-notch, and he has excellent driving skills to navigate the challenging roads of the area. We saw a lot of the Kotor / Budva area on the tour, viewed incredible vistas from the top of the hills, had a terrific lunch in the hills, and had an excellent tour of Kotor Old Town. Overall it was a great day - comparing notes with other cruise ship passengers, we saw much more of the area than others. So.....would I take the tour again? No.....unless the price of the tour was lowered by 30%. Compared to all the other tours we took on this two-week vacation, this one was the most expensive and we simply didn't feel the value proposition was there. Yes - we had a great guide. Yes - we saw a lot and had a great time. But.....the cost/value simply isn't there. I truly hate to say this, but my goal is to inform other potential clients so they can make their own decision. If you can't find a similar, highly-rated tour for less money, by all means consider this one.
Thank you so much for your review Mr. Brian. We truly appreciate your opinion and your criticism. Regarding the prices , you must know that there is middle man between the customers and tour operator. For better prices there is a way to reach out to different tour operators directly, where the prices can be without middle man of course. Thanks a lot again for your honest opinion.
