En unik och bakre möjlighet att återförenas med din kultur, rötter och blodslinje. Du kommer att få ett traditionellt afrikanskt namn, och njuta av ett byliv som lerkeramiktillverkning, och i en traditionell kulturföreställningar som kommer att visas för att välkomna dig in i samhället av. Denna erfarenhet är reserverad uteslutande för ättlingar, eftersom det är en helig pilgrimsfärd centrerad på helande och återförening. Icke-ättlingar får endast ansluta sig om de är en make eller svart familjemedlem till en deltagare. Det är en energiupplyftande resa som låter dig bevittna hur afrikaner en gång levde som kungar och drottningar i sina hemländer innan de stals till Cape Coast fängelsehålor och fördes bort till "Nya världen". Vi råder dig att ta lite kontanter med dig som du kanske vill köpa några av de vackra afrikaner pärlor som gåvor hem, och även lite donation för att stödja och lyfta vad de gör! Bär vitt, eftersom det är en färg för firande av nytt liv eller konformerbar av ditt val är bra.

8:00 avgår från Accra Hotel/ Residence till byn i ett luftkonditionerat fordon. Anländer runt 10.00. Vi kommer först att ringa cheferna och traditionella ledare i samhället där vi kommer att välkomnas med trumspel och dans och få traditionella afrikanska namn.
Vi kör sedan till den hisnande Voltasjön och njuter av en fantastisk lunch på en restaurang vid sjön. Voltasjön är den största konstgjorda sjön i Afrika och den näst största i världen.
Shai kullar är det närmaste National Game Park-reservatet i Accra där vi kan se några babianer när vi kör längs.

Loved this tour. Our tour guide and driver were very good. The vehicle was very nice. Water was provided. Tour guide was very knowledgeable, helpful, kind and patient. The naming ceremony was awesome. The village people were so warm and welcoming. A very incredible and memorable experience.

Our tour guide Toufic was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, the culture, and the community called Torgome. Where our Naming ceremony was held, with the tribe, Ewes located in the Volta Region knew Toufic well. Toufic called ahead to inform the tribe of our arrival time which made the welcome of our presence so exciting. Lastly, Toufic took us to the Volta lake, explaining it was the 2nd largest man made lake which was very beautiful and to enjoy lunch at the amazing Restaurant called Afrikiko, put the cherry on top of everything. Overall, an amazing experience and great atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon and hope our tour guide will again be with Toufic. Happy 50th birthday to ME! Toufic is the best tour guide that Ghana has to offer. Not only does he have an amazing personality but his astute observations help you to better understand the culture. It was the highlight of my trip to have the naming ceremony after visiting Slave River and Elmina Castle. The entire community are so welcoming upon your arrival. Please be prepared to give a gift to the Chief after the ceremony. I didn’t know what give before getting on my flight so I gave some cedis. Lunch was great and the view of Lake Volta was stunning. I’d recommend this to any descendant looking to learn about the traditions of your ancestors. It truly was a highlight for my trip. Request Toufic after you book.

From the moment our guide, Kobe, picked us up, we felt like family. His energy was like we knew each other since birth and he spoke to us from a place of love and protection. He is very knowledgeable about our past and present while remaining hopeful for what the future brings to Ghana. When we arrived in the Volta Region, the children greeted us like little cousins who haven't seen us in so long! The elders embraced us with a true "welcome back home, we miss you" energy. We walked through the village and greeted our neighbors. Walked to the clear river and took in the beauty of the area. Then walked back to dance and laugh and hug our people. The naming ritual was spiritual and authentic to the Region. The names chosen by the elders fit each of us PERFECTLY!!! The blessings received were given in abundance and I am forever grateful for this experience.
