Tae was very good and delightful with our first Tea ceremony. It lasted just over an hour and we learned a lot about the culture and tea.

We had a very calming and really good time at the tea ceremony. We went there as a family of six and felt very welcome. The people were very nice and explained every step patiently. We recommend this Ceremony and wish everyone a great time too.

Our host/ tea master was such a delight. She didn’t have a translator but she was still very understandable and could answer all of our questions. It was every bit of what we were looking for. Strong matcha, cute snacks, and a history summary. We enjoyed it very much as a couple who enjoys matcha alone, without the latte part!

This is a wonderful experience in a tea room which is part of the Mita Kobo-ji temple. Tae san is a master of her craft and her explanations and instruction are excellent. I went with my wife and two children (early 20's) and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The ceremony is beautiful and very relaxing. Easy to get there by train and a short walk. I would recommend this as an authentic experience that you should definitely add to your Tokyo itinerary.

We had a pleasant afternoon and really enjoyed this experience! The woman who host this experience (Ms Tae) is very kind. She also offered us a little visit at the temple. Place easy to be reached by public transport.

This experience was a dream come true, we enjoyed all the sweet treats and the matcha tea making and tasting. We were well looked after and our translator was brilliant linking our conversations to our host and herself making our visit very enjoyable. The ceremony was insightful, educational, fun, respectful and for me a dream come true experience. We also gotten chance to experience a room in the temple creating a moment to become one with our surroundings including being invited to burn a stick of incense before we complete our own prayers or wishes to the gods. We were given a leaflet and step by step guide so that we could learn and take our experience back home with us. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience a tea ceremony but also for anyone looking for a moment of peace and joy. Thank you to our hosts for making our time with them so special.
