Provsmakningstur i Belgrad Serbien Matkultur

Beskrivning

Utforska hur Serbiens ortodoxa kalender formar sitt nationella kök.
Kliv in i Belgrads äldsta sötsaksaffär placerad bredvid nationalförsamlingens historiska byggnad.

My guide Tara was very knowledgeable, interesting and a pleasure to tour with. The food stops were varied and very tasty mixed with cultural and historical sights. I would highly recommend this tour for a first time in Belgrade.
Thank you for your kind words! We’re very happy you enjoyed the combination of Serbian food, culture, and history. That balance is exactly what we aim to create on our gastro tours in Belgrade. Hope to see you again for more Balkan discoveries!
It was a really nice dive into Serbian flavours and culture. The guide Tara was very helpful and thoughtful along the tour. We enjoyed the tour a lot! Elena&Marc
Dear Elena & Marc, Thank you for your lovely review! We’re very happy you enjoyed this dive into Serbian flavours and culture. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you again for more discoveries in Belgrade!
I would say it was good but not excellent. My guide was nice and knowledgeable but the place for the first stop was not approapriately chosen to my mind. The burek was too much fatty and with too little cheese. I am sure that there are a lot of places in Belgrade when you can eat perfect burek. Then comission fee did not match the quality of the service. I like serbian coffe in one caffe in Skadarlija and halva in Pelivan. I would rather also try chevapchichi. One more thing in winter time the places for stops probably should be inside not outside.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed and honest feedback. We truly value thoughtful reviews like yours, as we are constantly working to improve the tour experience, and your opinion is important to us. We’re glad to hear that you generally enjoyed the tour and appreciated the guide’s knowledge. Regarding the burek, we fully understand that taste is very personal. Belgrade offers many great places, and some may suit individual preferences better. On this route and within the chosen timing, this option was the most reasonable choice. We did suggest starting the tour in the morning to expand the selection, but you preferred a 2:00 pm start, which we of course respected. As a result of feedback like yours, this tour now starts at 10:00 am, allowing us to offer an even better overall experience. It’s also worth noting that Serbian cuisine is traditionally quite oily, which is why we recommend having burek with yogurt — this is how locals usually enjoy it. All tastings are included in the tour price. We consciously keep the price accessible — as of winter 2025, it is one of the lowest-priced tours of this type in Belgrade — while still providing the best quality and service we can within this range. Adding more tastings require increasing the price, something we deliberately try to avoid. But we take your comment into consideration. Regarding winter conditions: this is a walking street tour, where we move from place to place. At the same time, for a better cold-season experience, we now try include longer stops in warm indoor locations, as our guests’ comfort is always important to us. Finally, we truly appreciate live feedback during the tour itself — our guides are always happy to adapt and improve details on the spot. Thank you again for your openness and for sharing your impressions. We wish you many more great culinary discoveries in Belgrade and around the world.
Our guide Nadica and her daughter Jelena were amazing guides. Nadica is born and bred in Belgrade and is very knowledgeable. Nadica felt like a caring mother who took us to the markets and to bakeries etc, explaining the city and the layout as well. This would be good to do on your first day here to get your bearings. What a great experience from a beautiful person!
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re glad you enjoyed the tour with Nadica and Jelena and that it helped you get to know Belgrade better :) We hope the insights and local tips make the rest of your stay even more enjoyable. You’re always welcome back!
Nice to learn about some local history whilst taste testing Serbian cuisine. Also the guides passion for architecture made her knowledge of some of the buildings very interesting.
We booked this tour right after we’d finished the Walking tour around the city, and I could have never imagined that food is so much connected with the history and culture of Serbia. Actually in Serbian cuisine there’s a fusion of vibes and dishes from Austria, Tukey, Slavic region etc. Now I know for sure which burek is my favourite, I’ve tried a bunch of tasty desserts (and what’s important, this was included in the tour price). All the portions were the perfect size to enjoy diverse types of food and (already feeling experts in the field) finish the lovely day in the traditional Serbian restaurant, which was kindly recommended by our guide Tara!
Thank you so much for this deliciously detailed review! We're thrilled you decided to continue your Belgrade experience with our food and culture tour. Serbian cuisine truly reflects the country’s rich and diverse history, and it's wonderful to hear that the fusion of flavors—from Austrian to Ottoman to Slavic—left such a strong impression. We’re also glad the tasting portions and dessert selection helped you discover your favorite burek! And ending the tour at a traditional Serbian restaurant is the perfect way to wrap up a full cultural experience. We appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you again for more discoveries in Belgrade—both historical and culinary!
