Vår Taormina och Castelmola Tour från Messina och Catania kryssningshamnar är en unik endagsutflykt på stranden, som visar två av Siciliens mest charmiga destinationer i fullständig komfort. Du kommer att njuta av ett naturskönt stopp vid Madonna della Rocca kyrkan innan du fortsätter till Castelmola, en lugn kulle by med fantastisk utsikt. Tillbaka i Taormina har du fri tid att utforska höjdpunkter som den grekiska teatern, katedralen och Palazzo Corvaja, eller bara njuta av livliga gator och butiker. Tid för lunch kommer också att avsättas. I slutet av turen kommer du bekvämt tillbaka till din ursprungliga upphämtningsplats.

Först och främst stannar vi vid utsiktsplatsen precis ovanför Isola Bella, kallad Belvedere, och erbjuder hisnande vyer. Det är den idealiska platsen för att beundra och ta bilder av kusten och den fantastiska Isola Bella.
När vår resa fortsätter kör vi till den charmiga medeltida byn Castelmola. Denna sömniga stad ligger betänkligt ovanför Taormina. En promenad runt är ett måste, med dess coola medeltida gränder och pittoreska piazza med vyer över hela landsbygden, Etna och den joniska kusten.
Vi kommer att ha ett stopp vid den berömda Bar Turrisi. Denna pub, som ligger på en hög kulle nära Taormina, ser väldigt trevlig ut utifrån, med sina många balkonger och röda parasoller som sträcker sig upp mot himlen. Men så fort du tar tag i sidodörrens handtag inser du att denna taverna är lite unik bland sicilianska anläggningar. Man kan betala för mandelvinet och äta också.
Madonna Della Rocca är en 1400-talskyrka som har huggis ut ur ett berg, belägen precis nedanför Saracens slott kommer du att njuta av en extraordinär fågelperspektiv över Taormina och den grekiska teatern.
Vid ankomsten till Taormina Center har du fri tid att vandra i den historiska Corso Umberto. Detta är huvudpromenaden genom hjärtat av Taormina med eleganta designbutiker och söta kaféer och restauranger

Taorminas Palazzo Corvaja är ett medeltida palats som byggdes på 900-talet. Den tidiga arabiska befästningen, som byggdes på romersk grund, är en del av palatsets historia. Dess centrala struktur är ett torn i islamisk stil, med välvda fönster och ingångar som indikerar det islamiska inflytandet inom innergården. Det finns en utsmyckad balkong med utsikt över innergården och en trappa med anor från 1200-talet som leder till första våningen. Det moriskgotiska palatset är krenelerat och spritt över fyra huvudvåningar som omger en innergård. Huvudvåningen har pelare som delar par av lansettfönster för fenestrering. Reliefer som föreställer skapelsen pryder gårdens väggar. Palazzon är nu ett centrum för utställningar där du kan fotografera.
Forntida medeltida katolsk kyrka med utsmyckade statyer och ett enormt välvt innertak. Du kan ta bilder av strukturen.

We had a wonderful day in Tamina with our guide Eduardo who could not have been better. He met us at the cruise port in beautiful car and gave us an excellent tour with lots of information and anecdotes. We visited Giardini Naxos, castelmola where Eduardo introduced us to the excellent masala wine and then on to Taormina. The day could not have been better!

Leonardo & Eduardo were our drivers and they were great ! We ended up doing an adjusted version of this private tour, as half our group wanted to check out a nearby beach instead of Castelmola. We worked with them to figure out an itinerary that would work and they were very accommodating. If you’re thinking about whether to book a private tour or do it by yourself, definitely worth the money to book this tour ! We didn’t have to worry about the logistics or how to get from one place to another.

When first contacting Excursions Sicily Irina, immediately replied with information that we had requested and was very helpful and flexible in order to meet our needs. We ended up booking our tour with this company due to her professionalism and her flexibility and truely listen to our requests. Each and every time we contacted Irina she replied within 24 hours and addressed any concerns. Our driver and guide was Eduardo, who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, outgoing and fun which in turn made our experience more than we expected. Antonio was amazing. He took such good care of my family and I. He was extremely friendly and easy to talk to and gave us great information.
