På vår rundvandring i Tampa får du njuta av en mängd klassiska maträtter. Från prisbelönta kubanska smörgåsar och djävulsk krabba till handgjorda guavabakverk från ett kritikerrosat bageri – våra erfarna guider tar dig genom Ybor City, en levande stadsdel där historia och modern kultur kolliderar på bästa möjliga sätt. Ybor grundades ursprungligen av kubanska, spanska och italienska cigarrtillverkare i slutet av 1800-talet och har hållit fast vid sina rötter samtidigt som de utvecklats till ett livligt nav för mat, musik och konst. Dag som natt kommer du att se en eklektisk folkmassa promenera förbi färgglada väggmålningar, utforska hundraåriga byggnader eller samlas på uteserveringar under det mjuka skenet av snöljus. Från den livliga 7th Avenue till dess dolda gränder och parker, utstrålar Ybor City en gammaldags charm blandat med en djärv, modern kant som känns som en liten bit av Havanna mitt i hjärtat av Tampa.

På vägen till vår första restaurang kommer vi att promenera genom denna ikoniska park fylld med historiska statyer och hem för Ybor Citys berömda kycklingar. Efteråt leder vi dig till ett bett som har en hel del bett själv!
Därefter stannar vi vid statens äldsta restaurang i för en sann Floridian delikatess, medan du tittar på fantastiska kakel arbete. Några av de kändisar som setts här har inkluderat Babe Ruth, Marilyn Monroe och Bruce Springsteen.
Upptäck Ybor Citys gömda pärlor när vi slingrar oss genom ett av Tampas äldsta kvarter. Gamla cigarrbutiker, levande väggmålningar och nyfikna butiker kombineras för en upplevelse som ingen annan. Jacob was so friendly and excited to teach all about the history of Tampa! The Rooster/chicken history of the city of Ybor is so unique. Such a great visit of learning about the melting pot of culture that molded Tampa. Every stop on the Tasting tour was delicious! Alligator tacos were incredible. The Cuban sandwich and the crab cake were awesome. Every owner of the restaurants were accommodating and welcoming to our group. Absolutely recommend to anyone! My kids have some allergies and Jacob made sure to plan for the few substitutions for them. 5 stars for sure.

The tour was a highlight of our trip. Guide, Jacob, was knowledgeable, passionate about his city, and engaging for all of us. It was the best gator taco I've ever had ... well, first gator taco, but it may have been the best TACO I've ever had!!! (I'm not exactly sure why we had the Greek food but it was good. ) definitely worth it!!

We did the Tampa Secret Food Tour on 3/20/26 with our tour guide, Jacob. The secret food stop was my favorite, but all of the dishes were delicious! The portions were more than generous! Jacob was welcoming and knowledgeable. We even made some new friends. I highly recommend this tour if you are interested in learning about the rich history of the Ybor neighborhood while sampling a unique variety of food!
