I had one day in Tampa to do this city tour at 10:00 AM and it got cancelled. So I even went to the pick up area in hopes of still joining the tour, after waiting almost 45 minutes the Trolley did not show up.
Sully was a great tour guide! He explained the history behind the buildings, people, & Tampa since the very beginnings. It was very enjoyable and you got to see a large amount of the city. We stopped at a local restaurant to pick up food & we were able to use the restrooms & order cold drinks. The food was delicious, a nice little taste of the city. What a great experience! Would definitely go on another tour with Sully, he was great.
The tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable of the history of the city; I learned a lot about the history of the city. Offering water and a sampling of a Cuban sandwich (for the first time) was a very nice touch...the sandwich was great. The trolly itself could use more forward-facing seats and cushions.
Our guide Sully was friendly, helpful and had extensive knowledge about the beautiful and culturally rich neighborhoods we visited, current and historical. Timing was perfect for a stop at the flan factory for a complimentary, large sample of their delicious Cuban sandwich and we also had the time to stretch and purchase a coffee or flan if we wanted. Sully gave many recommendations for restaurants, parking and attractions in the beautiful city of Tampa. It was a really fun and interesting tour. We would definitely recommend!
If you are interested in a down to earth, very knowledgeable, personable guide, look no further than with Jamal. He took us to places he knew would satisfy our curiosity from icecream to empanadas! Oh that was just the food experience part of the tour. The real gem in Jamal's guide was learning the little known facts about a beautiful city. Additionally, Jamal showcased his creativity in giving nick names on top of nick names for certain buildings or parks or neighborhoods. I didnt want the tour to end ( though it was 2 hours long and we saw all listed in the itinerary plus one more secret and specific area not on the list). I just wanted to ride all day with him. The tour was very informative. The drivers knowledge of Tampa history and current events is amazing.
The tour operator, Sully, was very knowledgeable and provided personalized service. The tour offers a taste of a Cuban sandwich and before the tour started, he asked if anyone was a vegetarian, which I am. He ordered beans and rice for me in place of the sandwich, which was very thoughtful
