100% recommend this fun and informative hour!

My teenage sons and I did this and loved it. We were instructed by Tama who was kind and informed, and she also gently impressed my sons speaking of the importance of awareness of, and gratitude for, the life and labour that goes into the food we eat. Amazing environment too! Thoroughly recommend this activity.

Amazing experience!

This was such a special and unique experience! Having already done a previous cooking class with Kazuki I knew I had to give this one a go and it was so interesting seeing how traditional mochi is prepared, as well as trying our delicious mochi after all the hard work that went into preparing it. This was the highlight of my time in Takayama and absolute must do for those wanting to have an enriching insight into Japanese food culture and the influence of Buddhism while also trying some great food.

Christmas adventure

This was a great experience with Kazuki. Not only did he guide us in making mochi, but he also taught us about its history, and how that fit in with the cultural history of Japan as well. Definitely recommend
