Mötesplatsen är på Plaza Antofagasta klockan 6:15, framför Salta Train Station, alla passagerare kommer att checka in med biljetter och pass. När alla är registrerade och sitter inne i bussen börjar resan. Klockan 7:35 är ditt första fotografiska stopp i Campo Quijano, som ligger 30 kilometer från huvudstaden. Återgå till bussen kl. 8:05 och gör det andra stoppet vid Viaducto del Toro, som ligger på Quebrada.
Fortsätt vidare och stopp vid El Alfarcito, en plats där traditionen för lokalt hantverk hålls vid liv. Njut av en landsfrukost och besök hantverksmässan. Vi kommer också att besöka Father Chifri Fundation, en organisation som hjälper till att skaffa resurser och tillhandahåller utbildning och utbildning till lokalbefolkningen.
Sedan går vi rakt till San Antonio de los Cobres, en stad vid foten av Terciopelo-kullen. När vi anländer kl. 11:40 kommer vi att nå tågstationen och gå in på det emblematiska tåget till molnen.
Klockan 12 börjar du tågresan och uppleva naturens skönhet, stillhet och oerhörhet. Ombord finns bartjänster, posttjänster och merchandising för att göra denna resa till en njutning och ett oförglömligt minne. Cirka 13:00 anländer vi till Viadukten i Polvorilla, den mest erkända bron i området. Här, stiga ner från tåget och har 30 minuter att turnera på platsen och ta otroliga bilder. Gå tillbaka på tåget och börja returen till San Antonio de los Cobres och anländer till stationen runt 14.45.
Här har vi två timmars fritid där vi kan turnera i staden, uppleva olika aktiviteter med de infödda samhällena, bland dem kan du besöka Craft Market, skapa en lerkruka med dina egna händer eller göra en vandring med lamaer ( valfritt, ingår inte). Det är också den perfekta tiden att njuta av lunch (ingår inte).
Cirka 16:30, gå tillbaka ombord på bussen och börja vår återkomst. Efter en timmes bilresa, gör vårt sista stopp i byn Santa Rosa de Tastil, där en av de största arkeologiska platserna i vårt land ligger. Det uppskattas att det var värd 3 000 personer ungefär.
Efter detta 20-minutersstopp börjar du den sista delen av vår resa och anländer till staden Salta cirka 20:15.

This was a great day out. The coach was comfortable and there were quite a few stops along the way to break up the journey. We were lucky with the weather too.
An excellent tour - meeting point is clearly signposted, and transport is clean and modern. The train/viaduct is stunning and well organized but the journey to San Antonio is every bit it’s equal - the scenery is amazing. Well worth the time and expense.

This experience was a real highlight from our time in North West Argentina. Such a unique way to experience the mountains and get a feel for what traditional life was like there. Whilst also seeing the places where mining is happening and thermal pools are planned. Beautiful surroundings at a lovely pace. Highly recommend. If you come to this area and don’t do it, you’ve missed out. Note-only pesos are accepted on the train and by the traditional peoples selling their goods.
Very good experience. Just a repair: travelers should be advised to have lunch on the train as the suggested restaurant is very bad and the time for meals is small.
We paid over 700 usd for 3 persons . And when we asked if it was possible to reschedule our tour to another time it was not possible . All in all the cost is way too much compared with the experience.
Fun day. Very well organized. Amazing high altitude experience. Nice air conditioned buses with bathrooms which makes a BIG difference.
The tour is worth it and the photos are stunning. Now you will not hire the "Private Tour: Full Day Train Experience to the Clouds from Salta" for 375€. The train to the Clouds jumps bus-train-bus is exactly the same and costs 161€. Tangol Tours didn't even see them.reci

The tour company was fabulous, but it’s a long day and a long drive and not overly picturesque. Half the seats face at one way on the train and half face the other way. So you could be traveling backwards which makes me nauseous. The seats are pre-assigned at the train station.You’re knee and knee for quite a period of time with the people sitting across from you . It was worse than flying economy. It is nice that they have you change sides of the Planes halfway through the trip. All in all I’m not sure I would recommend this if you have other things you could do instead

BY VIATOR TRIPADVISOR WE PAY 4 TIMES MORE !!!!!! THAN MOST TOURISTS WHO TOOK THIS EXCURSION THE SAME DAY. We made the excursion with my wife on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, booked through Tripadvisor about a month earlier. We were picked up at the hotel by van and taken to the train terminal 10 blocks away. From there mic and then the train. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT WE TOOK WHEN WE WERE HANDED THE BUS-TRAIN-BUS TICKET THAT SAID $98,600 PER PERSON. When talking to other tourists, they had paid the amount mentioned on the ticket, plus approximately $3,000 taxi, for a similar journey we made by van. In short most paid a total of $101,600, at the official exchange of Argentina are U$S 109, of those present whom we asked, the maximum had paid U$S 150. US VIATOR TRIPADVISOR CHARGED US US$413.82 EACH !!!!!!!! APPROXIMATELY US$300 EXTRA EACH !!!!!!!! THEY BITTERED MY TRIP TO SALTA. I FOUND THE EXCURSION VERY GOOD BUT BEING ON THE TRAIN KNOWING THAT MOST HAD PAID 4 TIMES LESS THAN US, GENERATED A VERY UGLY FEELING. I cannot find the exact site on the Tripadvisor page to make this comment/complaint, I hope you will contact me to give me an explanation/refund, I use Tripadvisor services and this has never happened to me. I HOPE SOMEONE FROM VIATOR TRIPADVISOR WRITES TO US.
