Denna privata tur för 1 till 7 personer – perfekt för ensamresenärer, par, familjer eller små grupper – täcker alla måsten: Visegráds medeltida slott med panoramautsikt, Esztergoms torniga basilika och den färgglada gamla staden Szentendre, plus unika naturliga och kulturella stopp längs vägen. I Esztergom kan du utforska Ungerns största kyrka med sin imponerande skattkammare och ta dig till Slovakien för att få den bästa utsikten över basilikan och gamla stan. Efter Visegráds slott kan du kliva in i Pilis biosfärreservat, där bäckar, vattenfall och forellsjöar skapar en lugn miljö – och prova lokal forell eller vilt på en mysig skogsrestaurang. I Szentendre vandrar du på kullerstensgator kantade av gallerier och hantverksbutiker och besöker det världsberömda Marsipanmuseet med sina fantastiska söta skapelser i naturlig storlek. Szentendre är en historisk stad med kullerstensgator, barockarkitektur och en livlig konstscen. Bosatt av olika folk under århundradena, blev det ett viktigt centrum för serbiska flyktingar på 1600-talet, som lämnade efter sig ett distinkt ortodoxt arv. Idag gör dess museer, gallerier och Donaupromenaden det till ett favoritresmål för besökare som är intresserade av kultur och historia.
Slottet Visegrád i Ungern är en historieälskares/naturälskares dröm. Detta stopp kombinerar ett imponerande 1200-talscitadell med fantastisk utsikt över Donau och är ett utmärkt tillfälle att utforska Ungerns kungliga förflutna och ta fantastiska bilder av Donaukröken. Du kan även se en vaxfigur utställning av den berömda 1335 möte av tre kungar. (Observera att mellan 12 januari - 28 februari är slottet endast öppet på fredagar, lördagar & söndagar.)
Esztergombasilikan tornar upp sig över Esztergom i Ungern och är en sevärdhet att skåda. Som den största kyrkan i landet har den en storslagen neoklassisk design, en massiv kupol synlig i kilometer och en rik historia. Byggd på platsen för tidigare kyrkor från kung Stefan I, är det säte för den katolska kyrkan i Ungern och erbjuder fantastisk utsikt och en djup koppling till Ungerns historia. Slottet Esztergom, bredvid basilikan, var det kungliga residenset och Ungerns politiska och religiösa centrum från Stefans regeringstid fram till mitten av 1200-talet.
Från Esztergom tar vi oss kort över till Slovakien för en vykortsperfekt utsikt över basilikan och stadens gamla stadsdel.
För den intresserade visar Szentendres marsipanmuseum upp konsten i detta söta hantverk, med skulpturer i naturlig storlek av Lady Diana, Michael Jackson och många andra figurer från historien, tecknade serier och naturen. Titta på mästerkonditorer på jobbet när de formar godis till ätbar konst, vilket gör besöket både roligt och lärorikt - och naturligtvis välsmakande.
Visegrad har en dold pärla: Pilis Biosphere Reserve, en nationalpark inom nationalparken. Det är en pittoresk region som kännetecknas av sin unika vegetation, slingrande bäckar, forsande vattenfall och fridfulla sjöar som kryllar av öring. Du kan njuta av den unika upplevelsen att smaka nylagad öring, fångad direkt från dessa sjöar, eller vilt från de omgivande skogarna, på en mysig skogsrestaurang inbäddat bland träden (restaurangen är stängd på tisdagar och onsdagar, men det finns många andra lunchalternativ i närheten).

Tamas was our tour guide. He is very knowledgeable about the country’s history and told us a lot during the tour. He was very friendly and offered us choices during the tour according to our interest and time schedule. The wife and I had such a great experience with Tamas today. He showed up at our hotel early for our pickup time and was waiting outside. He has sent me a message that morning so I let him know we were in the lobby about 10 mins before our scheduled pick up time and he walked right in and greeted us. He was very friendly and came prepared with drinks and snacks for the day. His van was very comfortable to ride in , and he made sure the temperature in the back was to our liking. Along our journey we opted to hear about the history of the areas we were driving through. He was very knowledgeable about historical events from early history to more modern eras. It was very apparent he has a passion for what he does. During our stops he talked about the building and ruins in the area which was great information. For lunch he recommended an excellent restaurant that was well priced and delicious.. Just as an fyi bring your passport with you for this tour as we briefly passed into Slovakia for a great vantage point. I would also recommend comfortable walking shoes. There were a handful of flights of steps but I wouldn’t say the activity level is more than moderate. My Apple Watch recorded around 10k steps, some of which were self inflicted as we spent some time going back and forth through some shops. We were dropped back off safe and sound to our hotel in the afternoon with lots of pictures and great memories. I recommend this tour and would do it all over again!

My Mom and I loved this tour! Tamas has an extremely deep knowledge of Hungarian history, is a wealth of information, and has a great sense of humor. During the drive he told us Hungary's History and even pointed out some of the Roman ruins. At each stop, his historical commentary was much appreciated, informative, enlightening, and definitely added to the overall experience. He was kind and courteous as he offered us bottles of water and snacks. Also, he was really patient and never rushed us, as my Mom and I did some shopping at a market in our free time in Szentendre. If I'm ever in the area again, I would book one of his other tours he offers. We can't recommend this tour enough.
