Fun little car takes you through the creation of Swiss Chocolate. Lots of free chocolate gifts! There is a lot of other things to do at the Museum. A 3D theater, planetarium and more. If I had known I would have bought an all inclusive ticket.
It has replicas and originals of air, land and sea transport, with some nice simulators. Guaranteed fun for any age. We stayed for 3 hours but I wanted to stay longer. In the end, we did the Lindt Chocolate Experience which was good but I only indicate if you do not visit the nearby Zurich factory which is much better!
I ordered my dish: a yellow risotto limande for 10 euros 45 The dish received is ridiculously small and when I taste: the risotto is arch cold. I go back to the counter , I get warmed up for more than 5 minutes. This time the fish was very cooked .... Then I realize that I didn’t get a token for the ordered coffee. So I’m not happy at all, especially since this is not my first experience of this kind. Flunch lacks staff and I will add qualified and competent. I imagine a friendly staff would be luxury.
Absolutely bad experience. Children pay 10.-, adults 18.- CHF. Despite booked timeslot we had to wait almost 30min because other day visitors did not have to reserve a timeslot. Ultra bad process. After waiting forever, we went down in a container just to wait there again. After that, sitting in a car, it was about sitting still and listening to 2omin. Visually, it was okay, in terms of content as well. After that there was 1x chocolate ball and a voucher for 3x chocolate patterns. Totally overpriced and only for chocolate freaks. For everyone else: Hands off, for this money, go to the zoo Arth-Goldau for a whole day.
The chocolate experience is "ok", not Valeria visit....but the transportation museum is surreal! The combination (chocolate experience + transportation museum) is very worth it, so you can spend an entire afternoon.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience. A fun way to learn about the chocolate making process. My teen loved it and especially loved the chocolate samples at the end!
You sit in a ride car and get taken/twirled into various points. Some just film/information about aspects of the chocolate making process, others more 3D/multimedia. Engaging and interesting. A ‘grand finale’. Samples during and after. Shop prices same as usual (not hiked up)
It is like a small show but not not really worthy. They charge 18 CFH, but attractive. It is just a small video clips.. Better to visit to the chocolate manufacturing plants, where you will get a more change to learn and teste some good cholates as well.
Envisioned as a ride that will guide you thru the process of chocolate making, it's painfully outdated in terms of technological capabilities and ultimately short on information provided. The staff was courteous and the chocolate samples were welcome; however, it felt as a sales pitch for the chocolate shop at the end of the visit. Price 18 CHF - value of chocolate samples received - $3 CHF (generous estimate) - overpriced.
It's kind of fun with the multimedia displays and the cart that drives you around, but you don't actually see anything being made. At the end they give you a few free samples.
