Sweet Treats of the East Village: Donut & Pastry Walking Tour

Vår East Village-turné börjar på en av New Yorks munkinstitutioner, Donut Pub. Donut Pub har funnits i över 50 år och har några av de bästa munkarna i New York City. Vi kommer att visa upp några av deras mest kända smaker och du kommer att få prova många av dem. Härifrån tar vi en promenad genom de vackra stadsdelarna, höghusen, parkerna och landmärkena som prickar East Village och gör det till ett av New Yorks mest ikoniska stadsdelar. Vid vårt nästa stopp kommer vi att prova några klassiska italienska Bomboloni som du kommer att svära kom direkt från det gamla landet. Om du aldrig har haft bomboloni, är du i en njutning! Härifrån kommer vi att lyfta fram några av musikhistorien och ikonerna i det omgivande grannskapet inklusive CBGB och Bowery Electric en väg till vårt tredje stopp. Här kommer vi att lyfta fram deras karaktäristiska kardemummabullar som nyligen var en viral sensation på TikTok. Och sist men inte minst, vi avslutar vår turné med några otroliga hantverksmunkar som roterar säsongsvis. Boka din turné idag!

Vi börjar vår turné här och lyfter fram de fantastiska munkar som vi tycker att du borde prova, såväl som historien kring The Donut Pub.
Vi kommer att prata om Astor Place och dess betydelse för områdets historia tillsammans med de omgivande byggnaderna, teatrarna och skulpturerna i området.
Vi går genom Bowery street och pratar om dess betydelse för East Village, tillsammans med de olika musikteatrarna som brukade pryda grannskapet (CBGB och andra).
Vi går förbi McSorely's och pratar kort om barens historia och platsen. New Yorks äldsta irländska pub.
Vi kommer att prova några av deras fantastiska bakverk och prata om La Cabras historia.
En liten pärla i hjärtat av East Village. Russo's är en ost- och pastabutik som serverar hemlagad, färsk mozzarella och andra italienska favoriter. Vi kommer att lyfta fram några produkter du bör prova efter turnén.
Petit Chou är ett franskinspirerat bageri med särskilt fokus på chouxbakelser. Chouxbakelse är basdegen för alla eclairs, cream puffs och profiteroles. När den tillagas på rätt sätt är den lätt, krispig, med en öm inredning och en perfekt ihålig mitt. Detta ger oss det perfekta fordonet för att förse dig med generöst smakrika bitar.

Missy was fantastic! She reached out in advance to let us know that we were the only two people on the tour and once we got started it was truly an experience of our own making! As always it’s a great experience to see the city and also get to try different donuts and pastries of the city. Can’t wait for my next donut tour with the team!

This was a great tour for people interested in music and theatre history. My 14 year old wasn’t as interested in that part:)
Thank you for rolling with us in the East Village. We try to stuff the donuts with fun facts that appeal to everyone but we know teens are a hard sell! We hope to earn that final star on a future tour.

This was a great tour and much more than donuts. The history of the East Village and the incredible knowledge of our Guide Rob was impressive. Rob gave us a detailed story of the area that we have always bypassed when in NYC. We have a new appreciation for the village and loved the treats as well! If you get the opportunity to hang with Rob eating donuts and learning...go for it!
