Surfing i Essaouira : Nybörjar lektion

Coming back to Happy Kite was the best decision we could have made. After a bad surfing experience somewhere else, my daughter and I had completely lost our confidence in the ocean and the waves. I knew that if we wanted to enjoy surfing again, it had to be with Karim and Neringa. And I was right. Karim guided us with incredible patience, kindness, and respect. Without ever putting any pressure on us, he helped us slowly leave our fear behind and rediscover the joy of being in the ocean. Not only did we regain our confidence, but we also rediscovered our excitement for surfing. It was a truly beautiful experience that we will always remember. Thank you, Karim and Neringa, for your professionalism and for making us feel so safe. Después de una mala experiencia haciendo surf en otro lugar, mi hija y yo habíamos perdido completamente la confianza en el mar y en las olas. Sabía que, si queríamos volver a disfrutar del surf, tenía que ser con Karim y Neringa. Y no me equivoqué. Karim nos acompañó con una paciencia, un cariño y un respeto increíbles. Sin ninguna presión, consiguió que poco a poco dejáramos atrás el miedo y volviéramos a disfrutar del mar. No solo hemos recuperado la confianza, sino también la ilusión por seguir surfeando. My first ever surfing experience couldn’t have been any better! Karim was an amazing, friendly, patient, encouraging but still very authentic and honest instructor! I felt very safe and I was happy I even made some progress during the two sessions I took. Communication and process also very smooth. Looking forward to the next possible opportunity!😍

During the first lesson thanks to their advice I was able to stand on the board and ride a few (calm) waves ! Not bad for someone with poor balance 😃

Learning to surf with in Essaouira was a revelation, thanks in the main to brilliant tuition by Karim, his patience and optimism that I would actually get up! I'd tried with various other teachers in the past, but Karim was the one to help me feel the fear and do it anyway! Neringa was also a great inspiration in terms of providing local knowledge of the city, being very reassuring to me as a woman travelling alone in Morocco, and all in all, I loved the vibe of Happy Kite. They are happiness personified, and I can't wait to come back. I'm not a young thing either, by the way, and Karim made me feel very comfortable about that, and made me feel part of the team, reassuring me that surfing is for all ages and all experiences. Next time, I hope to try kitesurfing!

I always wanted to learn to surf, but felt quite anxious about it. Karim reassured me so well and was so supportive! He’s really fun and has a very joyful and positive personality. I took my second lesson with him when I got back to Essaouira - couldn’t recommend more!!
