Den äldsta fyren i Maine, beställd av George Washington. Anses vara den mest fotograferade fyren i Maine.
Minnesmärke över andra världskrigets skeppsvarv. Arbetarna sysselsatte upp till 30 000 personer och byggde 30 "Ocean"-lastfartyg för den brittiska regeringen, med början 1941, och 236 "Liberty"-lastfartyg för USA, med start kort därefter.
Ljusstation i Caisson-stil byggd 1897 och markerar den västra sidan av inloppet till Casco Bays huvudfartskanal. Intill ligger Fort Preble och Southern Maine Community College.
Format efter Fort Sumner, är det ett före detta militärfort byggt på Hog Island Ledge i Casco Bay. Från 1858 till 1864 utkämpades inga strider där och inga trupper var stationerade där
Byggd 1875, även kallad Bug Light på grund av sin lilla kroppsbyggnad. Den var modellerad efter ett grekiskt monument, men gjord av gjutjärn. Det är omgivet av Bug Light Park, populär på sommaren för picknick och drakflygning.

Great experience Incredible historical knowledge by your guide Bit too long and be weather conscious
Excellent tour- we learned and were entertained and saw all the sights. Our guide was fantastic and we enjoyed every minute of the tour. Get there early if you want to sit on the top deck and definitely bring a sweatshirt or windbreaker, even if it’s hot outside. You’ll be glad you have it. Also, sit on the right side of the boat.
Went on the sunset lighthouse tour with Mark as our guide. It was amazing! We learned so much about the islands and lighthouses around the bay, and saw an absolutely gorgeous sunset, along with some local wildlife. Mark was a great guide- knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. This is definitely a must-do to experience Portland and learn about the local nature and history of Casco Bay and Maine.
Very enjoyable experience with Captain - and LT narrating. It was fun hearing about all the sights we passed as well as LT’s experiences in the area as this was where he was born and raised. The sunset was beautiful and we even got to see some seals. Tip - bring a jacket as it got chilly heading back.
We took this cruise on June 27th. We were seated on the back of the boat on the first level. We heard not a thing of the tour as the speaker on the back of the boat was not as loud as the propellors. About 30 minutes into the ride everything was fog. I wish we knew of the fog ahead of time and had time to cancel. Overall a disappointment, unfortunately.
Comfortable cruise around Bay Area with interesting commentary about structures and lighthouses, and general history of the region. Unfortunately clouds hid the sunset, though we had some sky colors.

Make sure you bring a sweatshirt sweater or something. It does get cold out there. The water was a little choppy for a small period of time, but it was amazing. The sunset was so beautiful and we even saw seals
