En helt annorlunda tur till toppen av Brasiliens mest ikoniska berg! Istället för att ta linbanan når vi Sockertoppens 396 meter höga topp via en stig och en lätt klättringsdel – alltid med fantastisk utsikt över staden! Denna rutt erövrades första gången 1817 av engelskan Henrietta Carstairs, och nu år 2024 kan du följa i hennes fotspår! Med fullt stöd från en guide certifierad av turistministeriet, utbildad i klättring och första hjälpen i vildmarken, all säkerhetsutrustning certifierad och personlig försäkring för varje deltagare! Se till att du är i form för aktiviteten innan du bokar. Notera: Turen avgår alltid på eftermiddagen, eftersom rutten ligger i skuggan då. Vi träffas vid den utsedda mötesplatsen och därifrån börjar vi en lätt promenad längs Pista Cláudio Coutinho, där vi kommer att kunna se Sockertoppen och Naturparken Sockertoppen underifrån. Efter cirka 10 minuter börjar vi en grusstig med några stenar och sedan börjar vi klättra uppför en stenig klippa där vi kan se andra sidan av staden, Guanabarabukten, bergskedjan och staden Niterói. Vi fortsätter klättringen till basen av klätterdelen. Här kommer vi att utrusta oss med all nödvändig utrustning för att klara budet. Guiden kommer att gå vidare och en i taget kommer att gå upp. Vi fortsätter sedan till nästa stopp: Pedra Filosofal, en vacker utsiktspunkt med utsikt över stränderna i Leme och Copa och stadens berg. Därifrån kommer vi att anfalla toppen och vi kan koppla av genom att dricka kokosvatten och ta ett mellanmål på toppen. Och vi åker ner med linbanan till Morro da Urca, där vi tar en liten stig för att återvända till startpunkten.

Challenging hike with very steep rock ramps! The rock climbing section was fun. Igor was a fantastic guide and so helpful!
Hard to describe the climb. It was, in equal parts, exhilarating, frightening, and remarkable. Physically demanding but a truly incredibly experience. Take shoes that have a proper grip for rock climbing, running shoes/sneakers will not help you. Our guide, Luis, was unbelievably patient and helpful. A genuine life experience

My husband and I recently hiked Sugarloaf via the steep route/easy climb, so it involves some rock climbing. As first-time climbers, we weren’t sure what to expect, but our guide was exceptional—knowledgeable, highly trained, and always making sure we felt safe and confident. His guidance allowed us to fully enjoy the experience without worry. One of the best parts was that we had stunning views for most of the hike, making every step even more rewarding. Reaching the summit right at sunset was the perfect finale—the sky lit up in breathtaking colors, making the already incredible view even more magical. The entire experience was invigorating, and we couldn’t have asked for a better adventure. If you’re considering this hike, don’t hesitate—100% worth. Also I do have a fear of heights and was just careful not to look down for the rock climbing part. I was fine!

An amazing experience that was only made possible by my amazing guide Marius! The climb was a little scarier than I expected, but Marius kept me calm and helped guide me up. We took our time to appreciate the views and I learned about the Brazilian culture and other interesting facts along the way. A great sense of accomplishment when you reach the top - would really recommend to anyone looking for an adventure in Rio
Marius was amazing, he made me feel so safe the whole hike and was fun to be around. Incredible views, a must do if you can - much better and more worthwhile experience than taking the gondola up so a crazy crowded tourist area!
I never dreamed of climbing, but the Sunday experience was amazing! Nature and its exuberance adore me. Challenging me to seek peace, seeking connection with the earth has been a flame that moved me. Fun little challenging hike! My wife and I had such a great time experiencing the true beauty of Sugar Loaf mountain away from the crowds. What made it even better was our amazing guide Marius! We quickly felt very comfortable with him and are happy to say we finished the experience with a new friend. Would HIGHLY recommend this hike to challenge yourself, enjoy the beautiful views and get OFF the beaten path! Make sure to ask Marius about the Philosophers Stone!
Marius is not just a Guide, he is a true host! In addition to the technical knowledge on the track, he cared about ensuring everyone felt comfortable and safe. His tips on the best spot for photos and local stories made the journey even more special. The trail was challenging and Marius made it also very fun.
