Street Art Bike Ride

Beskrivning

The best! We saw and learned and ate wonderful things. The guide was terrific. Enthusiastically recommend!
Great tour - we not only saw lots of great street art, but also learned about Oaxacan history and culture. Bikes are such a fun way to get around Oaxaca, and Angel led us on a safe route for kids while keeping the whole thing fun.
We did this tour in 2019 and enjoyed it so much that we came back in 2025. The tour is well organized. Angel was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot about the art and the history of the place. It is fun to explore Oaxaca on a bike.
We enjoyed a fantastic tour with Cristian! We especially appreciated him sharing insights into political and social issues. We saw a lot of beautiful street art, visited a couple or workshops, and even had time for a couple of stops for snacks along the way.
We appreciated the guides' deep knowledge of the social, natural, and political history of Oaxaca and the experience enriched our stay as a whole.
I was a tour guide in New Orleans for 3 years, so I know a good good guide when I meet one. Angel is up there with one of the best I've seen. He's knowledgeable, warm, smart and patient. You shouldn't miss taking whatever tour he guides. And the tour was chock full of beautiful street art and history of the 3 neighborhoods you'll visit. Anyone who can ride a bike can take this tour. It's very well paced with alot of breaks. The tour is a great value for what you get. I could go on, but I think you get it.
The tour guide, Diego, clearly has a passion for the city of Oaxaca and for the artistic culture it has celebrated over the years. He either knew the street artists personally, or has done a lot of research to understand the meaning and technic that is on display. This is about more than street art - it is about history, cultural evolution, and preservation of culture for the future.
My husband and I loved this tour. Riding a bike was a great way to see a lot in the 3 hours. We travelled to 3 different neighbourhoods and saw so much art. The experience was memorable and our guide was very knowledgable. We definitely recommend this tour.
We scheduled this tour for our first full day in the city. What a great way to kick off our trip and learn about tons of spots and neighborhoods we can’t wait to return to. Diego was a true expert in street art and Oaxacan culture. We recommend this tour for anyone who wants to feel like they’ve gotten off the beaten path. Thank you Diego and Coyote!
Oaxaca doesn't have street art as developed as Guadalajara or Mexico City and this is emphatically not a bike tour overview of the town. And our guide was a romantic, bespoke, revolutionary out of the sixties, complete with an affection for herbal remedies, plant and animal spirits, vegetarianism, and a highly idealized view of history. He was surprised to learn that blocking GMO corn could raise beef prices since the Monsanto stuff is cow food. (This might be a good reasons to do it, depending on your view of who should pay for social experiments). But we'd both do the tour again in a heartbeat because it got us into neighborhoods that we would not have encountered on foot. And because, for all his idealism, our earnest guide was charming, smart, worth hearing.
