The bus takes about two and a half hours to arrive, without stops and in theory without being able to eat on it, and then, at the time you arrive, you don't have much time to speak of to see it, counting on the fact that they don't take you to the place itself, but to the facilities with a picnic area, restrooms, and a gift shop. To get to the place, you either walk for about half an hour each way through a field or you take shuttle buses, for which there is quite a long line. That day it was very sunny and there was no protection whatsoever. Then, you arrive at the place and there are barely any signs or anything. The stones are located at a certain distance from the protective fence; it has been a long time since you could walk among them. The guide was an app that the agency encouraged us to download to have the explanations. So, for those who don't come prepared with some kind of guide or explanation from home, they are just a bunch of stones in the middle of a field surrounded by sheep and crows as a backdrop for taking selfies. Even so, it is very interesting to learn the history of Stonehenge. Since the London Pass included it, we were glad we got it.

We had an excellent experience on our half-day tour to Stonehenge with Golden Tours! From the start, everything ran seamlessly. The bus departure and pick-up were perfectly on time. Our driver was not only professional but also very pleasant and funny, which set a great tone for the trip. The journey was remarkably smooth. The bus was comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and having an onboard washroom was very convenient. The ride was so relaxing that we actually fell asleep the entire way there and back! Overall, it was a hassle-free, comfortable, and well-organized way to visit Stonehenge. Highly recommended!

An experience to definitely do and very well organized.

The driver was polite, punctual, nice and drove really well. This wasn't a guided tour, so there's nothing else to add.

Loved the tour very easy and organised

Pros: - cheaper and more convenient than taking the train and bus - bus was comfortable with aircon. Convenient pick up location Cons: - There was no snack provided despite the tripadvisor description - just under two hours to spend at the site, but it takes about half an hour to queue for the shuttle from the visitor centre to the stones, plus queue for the shuttle back. So the actual time spent at the stones is rushed. Not enough time to get food, or browse the gift shop for more than a couple minutes or check out the small exhibition there Things to know - the drop off point was advertised as a different location to the pick up point. We ended up being dropped off at the pick up point which was more convenient for me personally. But just be aware in case you have plans afterwards. - come earlier than the meet up time. I arrived on time (8.15am), and the first bus was already full. Luckily they allowed me to skip the line to join my friend who was already on board.

Firstly, we only had about 1 3/4 hrs ant the site, and We spent the majority of that time waiting in line for the shuttle buses. Secondly, The “tour guide” didn’t even tell me the time to return to the bus - I had to ask one of the other passengers I found in line. Neither did she say where we’d find the bus, because it was not parked where we were dropped off. Thirdly, The details of the tour said they’d provide a drink and snack, which they did not. And lastly, I was personally told we’d return to Doubletree by Hilton Kensington area, when In fact we were dropped off at the exact spot where we were picked up, near Doubletree by Hilton Victoria. This small detail impacted all the plans I made for after the tour. Overall, I was just Very very disappointed. I expected to be dropped off at the site, not at the end of the 40-min line to get the shuttle bus.

The tour was good. Being realistic, it’s really just bus transportation to and from Stonehenge, with the convenience of pre-paid entry. Our driver did point out sites while in London which was nice. Be sure to double check on your own for the location of pickup. Do not rely on the link you are given from the company as it takes you to the wrong location. Luckily we were able to ask several people including a police official who pointed us in the right direction and after some running we did make it with 2 minutes to spare. I’m concerned others were not so lucky as they said they we were missing some guests but they need to keep their departure times which is understandable.

This is not a tour. It is only a bus ride and transportation to and from Stonehenge. Our driver did not give us any commentary on the way there or back. We booked the premium tickets, which includes seating in the front of the bus and lunch. But, they gave us lunch at the start of the trip and then had us stare at it for two hours because they wouldn’t let us eat on the bus. By the time we arrived, it was about 3pm. Then the driver recommended we cut short our time looking at Stonehenge to eat lunch at the cafe. By then, it would been at 4:30. That’s not lunch; it’s nearly dinner. Don’t order lunch if you would like to eat it at a reasonable time. If you’re looking for transportation only, then this is fine.
