Res upp i bergen till ett avlägset observatorium, långt från ljusföroreningar och idealiskt för stjärnskådning. Guidad av en astronom, utforska den södra stjärnhimlen och lär dig hur Mapuche- och Inkakulturen tolkade stjärnorna medan de betraktade planeter, stjärnbilder och djuprymdsobjekt. Mellan observationerna kan du njuta av en traditionell chilensk middag med lokala smaker och vin. Vi kör till ett privat, självbyggt observatorium, beläget i bergen 105 km norr om Santiago. Körtiden kompenseras av 260 klara nätter per år, och otroligt mörk himmel, perfekt för stjärnskådning, även med blotta ögat!!! Dina värdar kommer att välkomna dig med en traditionell "en gång chilena" (vår version av te), med hembakat bröd, te, kaffe, hantverksostar och andra läckra hemlagade söta och salta traditionella godsaker. Efter att ha ätit introducerar vår Astronom dig till kosmologin av andinska kulturer, och relevansen vissa himmelska objekt hade för våra förfäder. Efteråt rör vi oss till tornet (varje struktur här är byggd för att sammanfalla med astronomiska fenomen), där vi lär oss att observera de negativa utrymmena i Vintergatan (helig för de flesta forntida folk i söder), och sedan gå vidare till observation med teleskop, där Astronomen tar itu med nuvarande, västerländsk kosmologi för att kontextualisera de objekt vi observerar.

This was an incredible experience watching the sun set in the Andes to exploring the night sky with Jericho and learning about the culture of the various native cultures and how they perceived the stars. The area is a bit remote and takes up to two hours to reach but Oscar our driver made it comfortable and also shared information. There was wine and snacks as well

Amazing aventure ! I was about to spend the night there and observe the sky and take lots of astrophotography ! Exactly what i was looking for !

This was very low-key and a fun experience under the stars. I enjoyed the time looking through the telescope and the free time I had to do some astrophotography. Our hosts were super kind and interesting.

Unique experience with local family and professor of astronomy. Provides an ancient views on the stars Ali was so kind to open her home to us with fresh snacks thank you for a wonderful night under the stars

We travel A LOT and this was one of the best tours we have ever experienced. The knowledge and expertise of the group was awesome. We would recommend to anyone interested in astronomy. VERY COOL TOUR.
