Vår första sevärdhet för dagen är ett besök i en fålla av "Highland Coos". Stanna upp för att beundra dessa milda djur och fånga foton av deras distinkta utseende och vänliga natur. Med kameran full av minnesvärda bilder är vårt nästa stopp Stirling Castle. Vandra genom dess stora salar, vandra längs gamla vallar och lär dig om legendariska figurer som William Wallace och Robert the Bruce. Efter att ha utforskat Stirlings rika förflutna tar vi oss till Falkirk, där moderna tekniska underverk väntar. Först besöker ni Falkirk Wheel, en hisnande ingenjörskonst som lyfter båtar mellan två kanalsystem med mjuk rotation. Ditt nästa stopp är Kelpies, två gigantiska hästhuvudskulpturer. Dessa slående strukturer hämtar från skotsk folklore och regionens gruvarv. Du kommer att kunna gå bland dessa kolossala skulpturer, känna dig liten i deras skugga, och uppskatta konstnärligheten och ingenjörskonsten bakom dem.

Kelpies är 2 ikoniska hästskulpturer av Glasgowskulptören Andy Scott. Med en höjd på 30 meter är detta världens högsta häststatyer, inspirerade av kulturarvet från de skotska Kelpies (vattenälvor), samt Clydesdale-hästarna som används i de lokala kolgruvorna.
Falkirk Wheel är världens enda roterande båtlift som förbinder Forth & Clyde-kanalen med Union Canal. Tack vare en unik fusion av konst och teknik lyfter Falkirk Wheel båtarna 35 meter upp i luften på bara några minuter, med bara samma kraft som det skulle ta att koka åtta vattenkokare. Obs! Vi kommer inte att hinna med hjulbåtsturen på denna tur.
Med över 1000 års historia är Stirling Castle en av Skottlands viktigaste historiska platser, och dess förflutna har några av Skottlands mest ikoniska karaktärer, såsom William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots och Bonnie Prince Charlie. Detta otroliga slott var en gång Stewart kungar och drottningars favoritresidens. Efter omfattande restaurering erbjuder slottet en unik upplevelse med karaktärer i tidstypiska kostymer, som livvakter, hovfunktionärer och tjänare, som kommer att berätta om några av de viktigaste rummen du kommer att besöka, levandegöra 1500-talet! Det finns också regelbundna gratis turer av de kunniga slottsguider som avgår regelbundet från porten.
Se våra världsberömda höglandskor! Pollok Fold (hjorden) togs ner från Skottlands högland för att beta marken inom Pollok Country Park för nästan 200 år sedan. Vikningen har 30 avelshonor och 3 vuxna tjurar, som kalvar främst från mars till juni. Tillbringa hela året utomhus på grund av deras dubbla päls, kan de alltid ses på fälten i Pollok Park.

Excellent tour!! Gerry greeted us at the cruise terminal, he was very knowledgeable about the area and went out of his way to make sure we were happy. He took us to the sights that we wanted to see and then added some extra stops that he thought we would enjoy. We could not have asked for a better experience!! Highly recommend Gerry and this tour

Such a great tour of Glasgow area! Shaq was a fabulous tour guide. He picked us up at the cruise pier & kept track of time to get us back in plenty of time. We really enjoyed his company & he was extremely knowledgeable of the entire area. We saw castles, ruins, highland cows, kelties, lots of Lochs, learned some history of Scotland all while laughing, joking & enjoying the ride. It’s a private tour so Shaq went everywhere we wanted to go, gave us plenty of time but we were able to stay ahead of the big cruise ship bus tours. We all really enjoyed this tour & would highly recommend it. If you are on a cruise, stopping in Greenock, book this tour!

This tour was amazing and Shaq, our guide, was fabulous!!! We got to see so many great sights, learned so much about Scotland and it's culture, AND even had time to look in several cute shops. Shaq knew all the BEST spots and budgeted our time perfectly! The vehicle was clean, well stocked with great snacks, and very comfortable! This tour is WELL WORTH your time and money!!!! Can't wait to come back to do it again!!

We came via cruise ship and had an awesome day with Alan! We visited Stirling Castle, saw some Highland coos, took a ride on the Falkirk wheel and saw the Kelpies. Such a fun and memorable tour.

Phil is a fantastic guide who did an amazing job showing us around! We got the feed the highland cows and take pictures. Then we headed up to Stirling castle where he gave us plenty of time to explore. Next we got to see the Falkirk wheel, where we got to see it in action. Lastly we made our way to the Kelpie statues, which were marvelous. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see these amazing sights.

This was a day that will be a core memory for all six of us. Paul was incredibly professional and made the experience even more epic than we expected. From feeding the cows to seeing Stirling Castle and the Kelpies, we were honestly blown away. Paul shared great context along the way and kept the group engaged throughout the tour. He was attentive to everyone’s needs, made sure we were all enjoying ourselves, and maintained a smooth, comfortable pace. Most importantly, Paul ensured we arrived back at our cruise port on time. We had a private tour for six with Paul and he helped make our day in Glasgow so enjoyable! Petting and feeding the highland cows, visiting Sterling Castle and a quick stop at the Kelpies made for an amazing day in Scotland! Paul was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating. He even helped arrange a driver for us in a future port of call. We will certainly call on him again next time we visit! Highly recommend!
