Stenristning i Cercedilla/Madrid

Very unique and enjoyable experience, learning various carving techniques. The artist was also a delight to learn from.

Brendan was very personable and provided us great insights about the city as well as teaching us the basics of carving stone. If you are looking for different memorable experience this fits the bill. The time flew by and we could have carved all day. We only created “illusions” of our future masterpieces but had a great time doing it. Now we are searching for stone carving tools on Amazon.

Legitimately one of the best activities I've opted to do while in Spain! I loved the process of learning about stone carving and then actually doing the physical work to make changes to stone. Really neat even as an individual one-off experience if you're not so inclined to continue doing it afterwards. I, however, am shipping my in-process marble piece home to continue learning and shaping the stone.

This experience was a surprise to those in my party and did not disappoint. We were warmly greeted by Brendan upon arrival and knew that we were in good hands. Brendan excitedly showed us works of his own in addition to marble work that has inspired his approach. He patiently walked us through how to interact with the stone and continuously gave us words of encouragement throughout the process. As a group of artists we enjoyed being able to engage in thoughtful discourse regarding art during iur lovely coffee break. The experience was unique and thoroughly enjoyable. An activity I would recommend to anyone.

He does not keep a track of the bookings. Caused a lot of inconvenience to travel to Cercedilla from Madrid, just to know that he has no clue about the nbooking.

Had a fantastic time out in Cercedilla! Brendan took all of the intimidation out of the process and is a gentle teacher. Time flew in his house's lovely garden—great way to spend an afternoon outside of the city to recharge and fill up the creativity batteries.

This is not your touristic, pre-made experience. This is a very unique and enriching workshop run by Brendan, a friendly and knowledgeable host. It's about one hour from downtown Madrid by train C-8, in a tiny but gorgeous and peaceful town (Cercedilla) worth visiting on its own (hiking + cute restaurants). Brendan showed us the basics of marble sculpting and provided us with the tools and equipment to make a small sculpture. It's an interesting art form that doesn't require much equipment to get started and is very relaxing; Brendan's activity sparked an interest to continue on my own. Thank you!

We had a fabulous time learning about stone carving and seeing another side of Madrid. It was wonderful hearing stories about how others’ perfect their trade and live where they do. Thank you for an unusual experience!

It was my first contact with stone carving. The feeling from day one was amazing. I wouldn't have stopped! Brendan explains very well, and is a very nice person. It is an activity that goes beyond the simple fact of making a sculpture, it is also a possibility to be with yourself, observe yourself, be collected if you wish, I suppose each person finds his way... Highly recommended. You don’t miss a thing to try and maybe, like me, you’ll discover something you love.
