Our guide Iana was charming, informative about Romanian art. The tour lasted two hours and we were given time to walk round and view the artwork, about which Iana was very keen to garner our opinion. A splendid visit.
Iana knows very well how to use all her knowledge of plastic arts during this tour. I discovered new information about the beginnings of modern painting in Romania and gained a new perspective on art. I highly recommend booking this tour for foreign visitors; it can be a very enriching experience in art history.

The medieval rooms are meditative, while the 19th and 20th century sections reveal a dynamic, evolving Romanian voice in art. From medieval icons to modern masters, there’s so much to see and learn. The museum is well-organized and not too crowded, which makes the visit really enjoyable.
