Beskrivning
Se den enda återstående restaurerade Gangster Era-platsen på denna historiska rundtur i omfattande grottor uthuggna i sluttningen i sedan länge övergivna gruvföretag på 1800-talet. Senare var det en svampodling, och den utvecklades sedan till ett restaurangkasino och gangsters hotspot under 1930-talets förbudstid. Tidningar rapporterade om ett olöst mord på gänglandet på kasinot. Reseledare pekar ut skotthålen. Vissa tror att grottorna hemsöks av de mördade gangsters vars kroppar aldrig hittades. Den ursprungliga baren från 30-talet har blivit helt återställd - det var ett dåvarande rekord på 60 fot lång. Även om denna turné är lämplig för alla åldrar, rekommenderar vi åldrarna 5 och uppåt, på grund av kortare uppmärksamhetsintervall och rastlöshet.

Interesting history tour. Our tour guide Mary was exceptional. She was engaged and fun to listen to.
Guide was very informative, with good stories, but would have liked to see more of actual caves. A little disappointed.
Mary was the best guide! We enjoyed our time so much! The story telling was amazing and the experience was beyond our expectations!
Limited parking in front of cave entrance. However, ample free parking nearby. Even on a hot afternoon, it's chilly deep in the caves.
It's a fun family experience about the caves, it's many uses before probation, relationship with the mafia and how it is used today. There is minimum discussion about ghosts.
The cave tour was extremely interesting and we had an incredibly informative, animated tour guide. She told fantastic stories about the gangsters and mushroom growing, which occurred in the caves.
Informative, fun, bring a sweater. Luke is wonderful storyteller and there are many stories in the cave.
This is a one hour tour, suitable for adults, walking tour, informative and interesting activity.
