Vi besöker Joalah National Park och tar en promenad genom regnskogen till Curtis Falls. Medan i Springbrook National Park reser vi genom Numinbah Valley med dess dalar, plaskor och skogar tills vi når Natural Bridge-avsnittet. Ta en timmes promenad genom den magnifika regnskogen till Cave Creek där vi ser vattenfallet trumla in i grottan nedan.
Hinzedammen är inte bara en viktig vattenkälla, det är också en fristad för vilda djur. Runt sjön och i det omgivande busklandskapet kan du ofta se kängurur och vallabyer som betar på de öppna ytorna. Koalor finns också här, oftast högt uppe i eukalyptusträden, som vilar på dagen eller långsamt rör sig från gren till gren. Skogarna är också hem för pungråttor, bandicoots och enstaka echidna. Fågellivet är särskilt rikt. Du kan se örnar sväva ovanför, svarta svanar och skarvar glida över sjön, eller färgglada lorikeets och kungspapegojor i trädtopparna. Dammen lockar också en mängd olika vattenfåglar som pelikaner, hägrar och änder. Reptiler är också en del av ekosystemet, med ödlor som solar sig på stenar och sköldpaddor som vilar längs kanterna av sjön. På natten vaknar området till liv med grodor och ljudet av nattdjur som ekar genom skogen.

We had an excellent day trip from start to finish. The itinerary was well organized, with plenty of time to enjoy each stop without feeling rushed. It was not what I expected. Perhaps for someone who has never seen a rainforest or glowing worms it’s good. Unfortunately, I have experienced both of these.

They also spotted plenty of wildlife—several species of birds, wallabies, kangaroos, koalas, and snakes—and explained them to us. However, I think it would have been even better if they had spoken a little more slowly for participants from non-English-speaking countries.

Beautiful scenery and a great opportunity to check out some wildlife. Our group was lucky, we were able to see a ton of animals and even a platypus! I got so many steps in, but it was a good blend or walking and riding.
