Efter mötet i Swakopmund kör vi till Walvisbay, där vi träffar 1/2 timme senare våra Walvisbay Gäster. Sedan förbi saltgruvan och ut på stranden, till sanddynbältet vid Sandwich hamn, där havet möter sanddynen, och uppför de höga sanddynerna, för några riktigt adrenalinskapande ögonblick och fantastiska vyer. Nedför många branta slipbanor och uppför många höga sanddyner längs en riktigt spännande sanddynfärd. Du följer vår guide med din bil och hjälps åt i alla situationer av vår guide. Vi guidar på väghjälp med körteknik, kommunikation via radio. Se till att din bil är tillräckligt försäkrad och ha biluthyrningsföretagets tillstånd att komma in i Sandwich. Efter sanddynkörningen går vi tillbaka till Walvisbay pumpa däck och tillbaka till ditt boende. Det är en fantastisk upplevelse. Observera att priset här är för 1 fordon inklusive 2 personer. Turen börjar egentligen vid Walvis Bay Esplanade. Här ser vi Flamingos och luftar våra däck. Vi utbyter erfarenheter och lär oss om varandras fordon. Vi går sedan förbi de rosa saltsjöarna i saltgruvan till stranden och till de höga sanddynerna. Vi kör samma rutt som vår Sandwich Harbour Dune-enhet.

Driving between the dunes and the ocean to reach Sandwich Harbour is absolutely stunning, and the way back over the dunes is just as thrilling — pure adrenaline! Rian is a fantastic guide: fun, knowledgeable, and just the right amount of crazy behind the wheel, which made the whole trip even better. A true character and a great guy. I'd do it again without hesitation. Highly recommended!

The trip to Sandwich Harbour is only possible with a guide. So if you want to go there, you need a driver/guide. For us, it was Winton, and he did a great job - we had a lot of fun!

We booked the tour and a rental car to drive ourselves. The car was very good, strong engine, V6 petrol. The ride in the dunes was demanding, some experience advantageous. Winton as a guide (via radio) gave good instructions at the right time and always had us in mind. We felt in very good hands. Great lunch in the dunes overlooking the sea. Exceeded expectations and a highlight on our Namibia trip.

We did book a self driving tour to sandwich harbour and as our rental car company would not allow us to use our car we rented a car from Desert Dunes and Dust Tours and what should i say. It was a 10 stars experience and the views you are going to see is absolutely insane. Nothing what a picture could ever really capture. Your are standing on the top of a dune with your 4x4 which you drove yourself to one of the most beautiful places on earth, did see some whales along the way and had endless fun driving on the beach and in the dunes. For everyone who is worried about the self drive, do it!!! Our Guide Stephan has been phenomenal in giving us great advice for driving but also his knowledge about the area and wildlife is absolutely amazing and he has a fun personality. The tour is literally one of the best things i have ever made. Thanks a lot!!!
