When our guide Mo picked us up at our hotel, he told us there were 3 other people scheduled for a similar tour that included the Apartheid Museum and asked us if we were ok joining this tour. Our original tour did not include the museum, but Mo offered us free entry. We agreed so there were 5 total people in a 12 person air-conditioned van. This was a full day tour lasting 7-8 hours. Water was provided during the tour. Our tour guide provided excellent information throughout the tour. We stopped at Nelson Mandela Square, Constitution Hill for a 1-hour tour, Apartheid Museum for a 2-hour self-guided tour, FNB soccer stadium, Nelson Mandela’s house in Soweto, and the Hector Pieterson Museum and Memorial.

Great experience….although on monday the Apartheid Museum is closed, we did a great and interesting alternative With lilesleaf farm… our guide Tsholo did a great Job and gave us good Information…greetings from Markus and Sabina

We had an absolutely fantastic tour of Johannesburg with Tsholo. The itinerary was exceptionally well designed and it was amazing how much he managed to fit into a relatively short amount of time without the tour ever feeling rushed. What made the experience particularly valuable for us was the historical context. Tsholo has an impressive knowledge of Johannesburg and South African history and was able to explain not only what we were seeing, but also the historical background and its relevance to South Africa today. His explanations were interesting, clear and engaging throughout. Tsholo was an outstanding guide – knowledgeable, friendly, professional and very well organised. We came away feeling that we had seen and, more importantly, understood far more of Johannesburg than we could ever have managed on our own. We had a very interesting day with the whole family in Johannesburg. Our guide Mo picked us up directly from our accommodation. During the drive, there were many details about the history of the country, the city, Nelson Mandela, Soweto, and apartheid. The visit to the poorest neighborhood in Soweto left the biggest impression on me.

I took the private tour for a more relaxed day, I have to say my guide Collins was absolutely amazing , I learnt so much about South Africa history , Collins passion and knowledge is undisputed, he was professional without being too rigid, made me feel relaxed and answered all my questions that I asked, we had a very delicious lunch of South African food, the tour was about 6 hours long and worth every minute, I will be returning back to this amazing country and will definitely be using viator for my tours, pay that little bit extra and do the private tour, ask for Collins as well, he was great 😊
