Efficient and excellent service
Private transportation from Southampton to our air b&b. (Same driver and vehicle from air b&b to Southampton) same review for both trips. The driver was professional. I was surprised however that 8 person van, advertised being able to transport 8 large bags and several small bags was not as large as I imagined. We had 5 adults, 5 large bags, a collapsed wheelchair, and 5 backpacks. We barely fit everything. The 8 seater van included driver with a front seat and I guess had 6 seatbelts in back seats. The back seats faced one another leaving very little leg room for 5 adults, no way you could fit an additional adult. The 2 hour drive was not as comfortable as I hoped. This vehicle is more designed for 4 people and 4 suitcases. If I were to book again, I would inquire more specifically on seat design and be sure all seats were forward facing allowing for leg room. The company answered the phone promptly and returned my international call in a reasonable time when I had questions.
Thank you for your feedback on your transfer services to, and from the Southampton cruise terminal. The service you booked was for a 7-seater minivan. We allocated an 8-seater Mercedes van for your service, we use the 8-seater Mercedes minivan, as a 7-seater van, simply because it can never accommodate 8 passengers with 8 large suitcases and 8 carry-on, as the boot is too small. For 8 passengers, we would use a VW transporter or a Renault traffic, which then can accommodate 8 passengers with 8 large suitcases and 8 carry on. The Mercedes van does have conference seats this vehicle is used for corporate and luxury services, but our other 8-seater vans all have the seats facing forward.
Driver never showed up despite sending a booked and confirmed email weeks prior. EC Minibus is an awful service. For peace of mind, NEVER use this company. Upon calling the company for assistance, they blatantly lied, claiming the service was never confirmed although 3 separate emails stated booked and confirmed. Taxis and Uber are also significantly less expensive. We saved over $100. Best of luck to anyone using the service. Best to avoid at all costs.

Our understanding is that you book this reservation through a third party, we attempted to contact you twice via email as we required additional information to be able to provide the service on the day as you did not provide your pick-up time and we had to confirm your final address details as the address that was specified on the reservation we were unable to drop you off to this location as this service did not cover this area in London, My understanding is that on the day of your service, you did speak to one of our customer service team who advised you that we were awaiting additional information to be able to provide the service, but we never heard back from you. You did confirm that you did receive the information but you did not reply, as you believed that you could resolve this when you arrived. If we were not able to confirm your pick-up time or the final address details, how well we be able to provide the service? As we stated in the email, we needed a reply to be able to provide the service. Since the travel date, you have received a full refund for your service, as we did not deliver the service. To be able to pick up from the cruise ship. We need to have a confirmed pick-up time before the travel date. Ships arrive in Port at 5 am and passengers can disembark between 6:30 am to 10 am therefore, we need to confirm a pick-up time. This can be changed at a later date, but we just require a pick-up time when the reservation has been booked.
Our private driver picked us up at the cruise terminal in South Hampton—he was on time, easy to find in a very busy area, and waiting for us with our names on a sign. He was friendly with a clean vehicle. The perfect way to get to airport.
We were extremely pleased with our ride from the Southampton terminal to London with Johnny last Sunday. It was wonderful to see him waiting for us with a big sign when we disembarked, and he was so helpful in taking our luggage to the car. He was a great driver and had some interesting things to tell us, and arrived in very good time at our hotel in London. It could not have been smoother or more enjoyable, and we really appreciate this great service! Hope we get to work with this group again sometime in the future!
