Solnedgång och snorkling på JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort Costa Rica

We booked the sunset with Fidel's company and had a great time. We went snorkeling; there were many fish of different colors, the sea was super calm. This was my first time snorkeling, and I really enjoyed it a lot. The guides were very practical and professional while snorkeling. On the way back to the hotel, we saw dolphins and sea turtles. 100% recommended the sunset tour. We had an excellent time👌

We booked a sunset tour with Fidel's company and had a great time. We went snorkeling, there were many fish, the sea was very calm, the diving equipment was excellent, and on the way back, we saw dolphins and sea turtles. The tour was wonderful. The tour was 100% excellent; I recommend it.

Unfortunately, this was by far the least professional and least caring tour operator we experienced during our entire stay in Costa Rica. We booked the sunset snorkeling boat tour for our family. During the conversation before booking, it was suggested that there would be several snorkeling stops, but in reality there was only one stop, and it was not a particularly impressive snorkeling location. The two guides on the boat kept interaction with the guests to an absolute minimum. The steering area was separated from the seating area, and they mostly stayed by themselves, only occasionally mentioning briefly what we were passing along the coast. When we stopped for snorkeling, there were no instructions at all. They simply handed out the snorkeling gear without explaining anything, so I had to show my family how to use it myself. They also never informed us how long the snorkeling stop would last. Since we expected more snorkeling opportunities later in the tour, we did not stay in the water very long. Fish observation was fairly limited anyway. The coastline and sunset were beautiful, and drinks as well as pineapple were served during the trip, although again without much communication or hospitality. What disappointed me most was the reaction afterward. I contacted the operator to mention that there had only been one snorkeling stop and that there had been no guidance or instructions. Instead of showing any understanding or concern, the response was unapologetic and dismissive. We have done several tours throughout Costa Rica, and everywhere else guides were friendly, knowledgeable, welcoming, and genuinely service-oriented. Unfortunately, this tour stood out as by far the most unfriendly and least professional experience we had.

Fidel and the captain were very accommodating and nice. We caught benitos and a large Jack fish! Will definitely book again next time we visit. Thanks guys!

Fidel and his crew were courteous and friendly. They took us approximately 1 hour south by boat to snorkel next to a small island. LOTS of fish! Also lots of small jellyfish but they didn’t sting us. Fidel found 2 baby octopuses and let us hold them!

All of Fidel’s tours are so amazing! They did such an amazing job and took such good care of us, by the end we felt like family! They showed us the real Costa Rica! Highly recommend any tours with them! We ended up booking all of our tours with them!

Incredible experience with incredible guides! From start to finish our group of six enjoyed every minute - from cruising along with stunning close up looks at the scenery to stopping to swim or get off at a secluded island, to snorkeling not to mention watching the views of a beautiful sunset all the while being spoiled with drinks and fruit to enjoy! And just when we thought things couldn't possibly get better, check out the picture of the amazing Rooster Fish that we were able to reel in!
