Booked this so we could do it in our own time. Got multiple irate phone calls because we had to be on their timings! Turns out the company buy bulk tickets so it’s cheaper for them and you are given either 11.15 or 12.15pm to pick up the tickets! Not what we wanted and told the tour operators this they were unfazed and said it’s this or nothing and too late for a full refund!

We completely understand that one of the reasons for booking was to have the flexibility to enjoy the experience in your own time, so we appreciate how disappointing it must have been to find that you were given a specific ticket collection time. Unfortunately, the collection times are set by the attraction and are linked to the way tickets are allocated to tour operators. We appreciate that this wasn’t what you were expecting, and we’re sorry if the booking information didn’t make this clear enough beforehand. We found the office very easily, it is just 100 meters from the entrance to the Vatican Museums. The kind staff showed us what to do with the tickets. Nothing to comment on, everything positive.

We booked this tour last minute and only self guided was avaiable. As we arrived to collect our tickets, they let us know that they were adding another guided tour. We chose that option and waited a little for that tour to start. David was our tour guide, he is from the University. He was so knowledgeable, and explained about the history. He discussed the chapel in depth amd walked us in the St Peter's where ended the tour. Highly recommend.
