Liten grupp Chiang Mai Evening Street Food Tour

Mr Goal is an excellent guide. He is very knowledgeable of Thailand and he knows EVERYONE and everyone loves him, this added to the experience. The price was right with all we ate. I plan on taking more tours during my visit which ends Friday.

This Thai food tour was designed to allow and develop a better appreciation of the differences of Thai regional cuisine. What we know as “Thai” food abroad is a curated version of the Central cuisine Thailand (centered in Bankok). NE, NW and S Thailand has its own kind of cuisine, nuanced based on the abundantly available ingredients based on geography, the cuisine.& fllavors from the neighboring countires/kingdoms, and so on. Our guide, Mr. Goal (easier to pronounce than his full Thai name, because he was a soccer goalkeeper at the Don Bosco school where he studied) is a true ambassador of Thai culture and food. He not only introduced us to the great variety of Thai food, but also made sure we had our fill. Thanks Mr. Goal!

Our guide Mr Goal was hilarious and very helpful. I'm not sure if he was trying to make us explode with the amount of food he gave us. But it was all amazing so it was worth it! I even learned how to say not spicy in Thai! 10/10 I would do this again!

Lots of yummy food, so please go hungry and pace your eating! Our guide, Mr Goal, had lots of interesting info to share. He was friendly and professional. Definitely a great tour to get an authentic taste of Northern Thai food.

Would highly recommend. The quality & amount of food was exceptional. We couldn't even eat it all. We didn't even stop at the last tasting as we were all at bursting point!! Great way to visit street food off the beaten track. Would definitely seek out this street food again if I return to Chang Mai.

Can I give this tour more than 5 stars, please??!! Mr. Jay was a fantastic guide. He’s very knowledgeable about Chiang Mai and he seemed to know everyone in the markets. I lost track of how many dishes we tried and how many places we visited. Every time I thought we were done, he took us to one more place! All of the foods were delicious and he taught us how to order in Thai so we could have our own adventures later. I would recommend this tour to anyone who likes to try lots of different foods. Thanks for a fun night, Jay!!!

Jay led an awesome tour for us! Soo much incredible authentic food! It was crazy how much food we had- we both couldn’t even eat it all. But everything was delicious. And Jay was very knowledgeable about the cuisine and Thai culture. He even taught us how to order in Thai!

A fabulous night. Tip: There was a LOT of food, 3-4 main stops plus little bits along the way, so just try a little bit of everything even if it’s delicious! Kids loved it too.

Picked up on time but frustrated that we were the only participants, so missing out on the Songthaew ride and the social aspect of the tour, we would’ve cancelled if we’d known this and feel we should’ve been given the option. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly, the tour started ok in a small restaurant but was soon moved onwards to the night market near the university, which then started a relentless tasting of savoury & sweet foods plus various drinks, all the time having to juggle bags of food, drinks and our rubbish whilst trying to walk through large crowds, it felt too hectic, rushed and intimidating. The large amount of food in a short period of time left us feeling incredibly full and nauseous with the pressured expectation of visiting another night market! We refused and asked to be dropped back at our hotel after 90 mins. For us more isn’t necessarily better and would look for a relaxed tour as opposed to this, if you have the stomach capacity then go for it, if you want more sophistication then go elsewhere.
