Barolo-vinprovning i liten grupp, Alba & UNESCO Piemonte Hills

Beskrivning

I often forget to write reviews but right now I’m on my way back to Milano from a beautiful, intimate, funny and informative tour with Stefano De Paolo as our guide from Abroads Tours. This is my first time in Italy and there truly couldn't have been a better introduction to this country. Stefano had a wealth of local knowledge and really brought us off the beaten path to get such authentic experiences with small local family-run businesses who are the heart of this region and so deserving of recognition. We were able to see, taste and feel all this area of Italy has to offer. I also learned so much about Italy in general - the history and culture and why things are as they are in this day and age. His humor and wit added an extra dimension that made the day feel like being shown around by a dear old friend. We had such an amazing day today! Highly recommend - don’t think too long 1 book now before it’s full - the groups are small for a reason!
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this — especially while you’re still on your way back to Milan! We’re really happy Stefano gave you the kind of first experience in Italy you were hoping for. The small family-run producers and businesses are a huge part of what makes this area special, and getting to know the people behind them is a big part of what we want our tours to be about! We’re glad you enjoyed the food, wine, stories, and, of course, his sense of humor! Thanks again for spending the day with us, and welcome to Italy! 🇮🇹
One of the best italian wines, plus truffles and Landscape ! Stefano also gives you hours of italian history class. You can't miss It !
This Barolo wine tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy! My sister and I had such an amazing time exploring the beautiful Piedmont countryside. The castle, Alba and vineyard we visited were absolutely incredible. At the vineyard, the wine was exceptional, the staff was so generous and lovely, and the setting was stunning. We learned so much about the Barolo winemaking process as well. Stefano was so friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re looking for an authentic and memorable wine experience in Italy, we highly recommend this tour and would absolutely do it again!!
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re really glad the Barolo tour was one of the highlights of your trip to Italy. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the countryside, Alba, the castle, and especially the vineyard experience. We work with smaller local producers because we want the wine tasting to feel authentic and personal, not like a stop on an assembly line. Stefano will be very happy to read your kind words. Thanks again for spending the day with us — and we’d be happy to have you back in Piedmont anytime!
We had such an incredible day exploring Alba and the beautiful piedmont wine region! The entire experience was so well organized with time to explore the city of Alba and have a wonderful wine tasting at a local vineyard. Our guide was wonderful — knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience exceptional. A perfect combination of beautiful scenery, incredible wine, great food, and an authentic Italian experience!
Thank you for the great review! We’re really glad you enjoyed your day in Alba and the Piedmont countryside. We put a lot of thought into balancing time in Alba with the vineyard experience, so it’s great to hear that the day felt well organized while still giving you the chance to enjoy the area at your own pace. And of course, we’re happy our guide helped make the experience even better. Thanks again for joining us!
This tour was so much fun. Loved that it was so small and that they focus on local businesses and not tourist areas. Stephano is so knowledgeable about history and knows so much about the trip that you get so much more out of it. He focuses on small tours and locale places which makes it unique and interesting.
Amazing tour full of joy and wine. Our guide Stefano is the best!
Andre the guide was great! Long drive but great views in the morning and good wine in the afternoon.
Stefano made my Italian wine country dreams come true. The tour had something for everyone. Truffles, Nutella, shopping, history and an amazing lunch as well as a fabulous family owned vineyard for wine tasting. Treat yourself and your family and go for the private tour with Stefano. The door to door service is priceless. What a fantastic 60th birthday celebration!
The tour exceeded my expectations! I do not drink but my family does and our tour incorporated a winery while also having things like food history and scenic views. The whole day could not have been better but my favorite things were how we got to see hidden gems and in less touristy places aswell as seeing local small business in the area aswell as the kindness and hospitality we received from our tour guide Stefano. A 100/10!
Very fun. Not only just a wine tour and tasting, but a trip to a nice little town in Italy. The guide was very helpful and knowledgeable and the people running the vineyards were exceptional as well. Also the bus driver was great! We went on a Sunday so fewer shops were open, but still had a wonderful time.
