Amazing and it changes you from Europe. Really to do. A little taxi, a little subway, a little bus and fun for tuk tuk.
Me and my fiance had a wonderful time with Ohm, our tour guide. He was extremly friendly and very knowledgeable about the culture and introduced us to some wonderful food. We are very pleased about this activity and recommend it to anyone else visiting Thailand and wanting to discover some incredible street food. We had the pleasure to visit some michelin recognised places and the food did not disappoint. Massive thumps up to our guide Ohm, he is a true representation of what Thailand is to us , welcoming and accommodating. Many thanks for the experience. We will be back. Gaelle and Abi
We were lucky to have Sasa as our guide three times, twice at Bang Rak (aka Village of Love), and once at Chinatown. She is extremely friendly and caring, and also speaks English very well. She knows lots of interesting information about each place we visit. She tells us about the history of each shop, which makes it even more enjoyable and allows us to appreciate the food. Hope to see you again Sasa!
How often can you say that you dined at three different Michelin Star eateries in one night..... Well, I can say that I did it on this tour. Our guide, June, spoke perfect English and was a walking encyclopedia on the Chinatown food scene. Trust me, don’t skip this excursion, your stomach will thank you profusely.
Our family of 5 did an evening tour of Chinatown, eating at six street stalls and restaurants along the way. It was our first evening in Bangkok and it was a great way to get a feel for the city while also eating some truly delicious and unusual food. Our guide, Ohm, was terrific. Very knowledgeable and he made the whole experience really fun. We all enjoyed his company and he gave us a thorough introduction to each new type of food. All of the food was so varied and delicious that we couldn’t settle on a favorite. We highly recommend Ohm and this tour.
Good tour with a competent tour guide. Fine food in different places. I loved it. I would do it again. The choice of places was good and the service was efficient.
A really enjoyable evening full of food, history and information. Im laew ka. Khun Katy made the experience particularly special! Would definitely recommend.
Make sure you are hungry! Lots of delicious food offerings and a great tour of Chinatown. We had a great time and would do it again. Our guides were fabulous (Aoy and Jun). Meeting place was easy to find and Aoy arranged for the transfer back to our hotel. Sooo easy! Highly recommend.
One of the highlights of our travels in Southeast Asia has been the food, and this Chinatown Food tour added to our appreciation of Thai Food with a Chinese influence. Our guide Sasa started the evening off reminding us that we were going to laugh, eat and enjoy, which we did. Her careful selection of food vendors, relationships with all of them and knowledge of the history of the area and information about the food we were eating was exceptional. She was professional and fun to be with. Starting with lovely small appetizer pastries, we then moved to noodles, dim sum with cold chrysanthemum tea, crispy pork and wide noodles, oysters that were sizzling hot and eventually icy cold bean desserts and tapioca and hot ginger sauce with rice balls. The dishes were all unique and interesting and we learned more about how Thai food is prepared and served. Sasa was also an expert photographer and took great pictures of each dish so we can recall the tastes and experience. We also got to experience Chinatown as it starts to wake for the evening feast and then moves into full swing in a matter of about 30 minutes. Where did all the people and vendors come from in such a short time? It is worth the experience just to see the streets come alive with all the different vendors and customers. A very enjoyable evening we highly recommend this tour and Sasa as a guide.
We had a delightful evening in Chinatown with Sa Sa. The whole evening was planned out to provide a smattering of dishes and food vendors that we would almost certainly not have found on our own. She navigated the streets and got us tables and yummy eats at 7 or 8 different places. We sampled everything from Chinese doughnuts to the most wonderful fried oysters to a table of dessert treats. There were four of us, two couples who consider ourselves adventurous eaters, and Sa Sa didn’t disappoint us. We laughed, ate, laughed, walked, and even danced! It was a happy and enjoyable evening. She answered a lot of questions about the food preparation, told us a lot about the Chinese and Thai cultures. In addition, she took photos of us throughout the evening ...what a treat. If you want to do something special for yourself while in Bangkok, try to reserve a tour with Sa Sa...you will have a happy and yummy night...and...come hungry!!
