Smaka på Helsingfors – Matresa genom smaker och berättelser Finlands historia är färgstark – och det återspeglas i vår mat! Kärnan i det finländska köket ligger i renheten: vilda bär, svamp, vilt från djupa skogar, fisk från klara sjöar och hav, krämiga mejeriprodukter och rejält bröd av råg och havre. Följ med din lokala guide på en god promenad genom Helsingfors själ. När du provar läckra lokala smaker får du också höra fascinerande historier om stadens förflutna och nutid. På den här turen får du inte bara uppleva mat utan också Helsingfors unika arkitektur, design och kultur – dessutom får du insidertips om var du kan handla och utforska vidare! I det här området finns många mycket intressanta sevärdheter att se, som riksdagen, museet för samtidskonst, den nya musiksalen, Finlandiahallen och Oodi, vårt nya centralbibliotek som 2019 har vunnit priset som världens bästa bibliotek .
Om tiden tillåter, ett besök inne i ett av de största centralbiblioteken i världen! Matprovning!
Här kommer vi att ha ett av våra stopp. Stoppet kommer att göras i en villa från 1800-talet.
Här, i denna före detta arbetarstadsdel, kommer vi att njuta av det lokala livet.

I have had guides from all over the world and Maddalena is among the very best. We thought we booked a food tour of Helsinki, which we got, but equally as important and impressive was the tour of the city, told through the eyes of a local with the passion and pride of a longtime resident. The food was well paced and thoughtfully modified for two of us who are pescatarians. Each dish was specifically selected to expose us to Finnish culture and the varied geography of the country. We also learned a lot about the city, its history, and its iconic buildings and architecture. Educational, fun, and very interesting. Highly recommend.
This was a great way to explore Helsinki and taste authentic foods from the region. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful tour with Magdalena. She was very knowledgeable about the history of Finland and Helsinki and took us to some wonderful spots to taste traditional Finnish food. She was great with our teenagers and even spent extra time with us at the end and gave us tips for the rest of our visit. Definitely try out her tour- it was amazing

As we walked around sampling all of Helsinki's most delicious treats, we learned about Finnish culture and history, notable architects and their work, and far more. We had a great time with Maddalena on our food tour through Helsinki. The tour included tastings of many game meats, fruits, berries and of course fish! We walked to many of the main sites as well as some off the tourist path. Maddalena is incredibly knowledgeable and personable making the tour a wonderful way to start our trip in Helsinki!

We visited the waterfront food market in Helsinki in May 2024, as part of an Insight Vacations 'Northern Capitals' tour. Great venue! We tasted smoked reindeer - pleasant! I returned to have some lunch at a cafe inside - excellent!

Maddelena is an awesome guide! She shared information about the food, daily life, and local history. All of the shops/vendors seem to genuinely enjoy the interaction. Because these tours are private, they are efficient and there is a lot of customization that can be done. I found Maddelena more responsive via email in planning this tour than others I’ve been on in other cities. I highly recommend this tour early in your trip so she can help you book other meals during your stay! Our group of 4 really enjoyed it.

My wife and I had a wonderful time being guided by Maddalena to some of Kallio's hidden corners, enjoying superb food and drink in locations known to the locals. We saw and learned a lot about the area, and also about Helsinki and Finland - both its history and its current affairs.
