This was a beautiful site however, a long trek down and back up! We are in moderately good shape for our age (seniors) and had to stop several times on the stairs back up to the top. There are other waterfalls with better access and just as beautiful.
Beautiful waterfall and swimming hole. Saw monkeys near the entrance. 500 steps down and then back up.
Incredible! Water is cold but so refreshing. Be ready for sore calves :). Be sure to bring your bathing suit, you will regret it if you don’t.
Easy waterfall access to parking and skipping the line with advanced park ticket. It took us 15 minutes down and 15 minutes back up. Definitely worth it!
The skip the line ticket wasn't necessary in the rainy season when we visited, but would be helpful in high season. It was helpful because it was valid any time of the day versus having to choose a time slot. I am rating the activity 4 stars because it was raining a lot the day we visited so they closed the waterfall for swimming, but we weren't able to reschedule to visit another day. The price per ticket to climb down and look at the waterfall then climb back up wasn't worth it to me.
Go early! We went at 8am and only a few people were there. Within 30 minutes it was getting busy with tours. Plenty places to put your belongings on the rocks away from the water. I would highly recommend water shoes, it is very slippy! Some people just looked at the waterfall and went straight back up but in my opinion that's a shame. It's worthwhile taking a dip and getting some great photos. Plenty of space to get dry and put your shoes on before heading back up. Don't let the steps put you off. I was concerned about climbing back up but with a few breaks along the way it is very manageable.
An absolutely amazing experience! The company treated us incredibly well from the very beginning. The guide was awesome, provided excellent service, and was always looking out for us. Plus, the transportation was very comfortable and safe, and the waterfall is just mind-blowing. 100% recommended!
The check-in was easy-peasy by pre-paying directly with the waterfall. Amazing views, 15 minutes walking to the waterfall, plenty of places to rest going back up! Go early (before Noon) to avoid the crowds.
Good no frills trip. Walk down was pretty cool—great views. Swimming by the falls and in the river below was amazing. Just like in the pictures. Walk back up is a bit of a workout but not to bad. 500 steps!!!
Very beautiful experience. Bring your bathing suit and swim! Totally worth the 500 steps. I spent about 3 hours here. My one complaint is a racist experience with Moikai (server in restaurant). I observed how attentive he was to lighter skin parties versus ignoring our table down to water service when requested multiple times, awkward faces, and staring while we are eating. Sadly he himself is in his own mental trap being a brown man himself, pray for him. Anyways- beautiful fall super worth it and the food was good after swimming and steps. Everyone else we’ve met in Costa Rica has been so wonderful. Purva Vida.
