Cheapest Experience and very good
Decent, was expecting something better, the weather wasn’t on our side barely saw anything, kind enough to offer partial refunds
This is a great experience if you wanted to just have some time under the stars. Both tour guides were very knowledgeable and interactive. They also provided to great time with the telescope and helped us take some great photos. Easy and friendly as well so overall a great tour
It is a super fun experience and we did learn a lot from this. The guide called Wilson is super funny and use his way to explain a lot of astronomy knowledge to us and make it super easy to understand. Highly recommend.
We had a marvellous expereince with our guide Kira who was extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We would highly recommend this tour !
Went at 7 pm. Brilliant guide, very patient and knowledgeable. Site only 5 mins from town, whole hour spent gazing.
The staff were very friendly, but I’m not sure if the tour was worth the money. There was no difference in the starry sky between the place they took us to and the view from outside the hotel. The telescope wasn’t very good either; perhaps it was just my eyesight, but I couldn’t really make out what I was looking at and didn’t find it particularly impressive. The guide’s commentary lacked any real expertise; I suspect I would have got a more useful explanation if I’d gone with my father. I do not know how much better other similar tours are, but if you have a car and friends or family who know a bit about astronomy, you might not need to book a tour. Still, if you’re keen to hear about Māori folklore, it would certainly be well worth it.
Fantastic, this is a must do Great guides with a thorough knowledge of the night sky; not too many in the group so we all had ample time at the telescope. Well organised and at a affordable price
This was a very fun experience for our family of three kids that are ten, eight and four. We were running late and Estella, the rock "star" tour guide was very kind and waited for us which we truly appreciated. Estella was also very nice and knowledgeable about the stars and we learned a lot. We would highly recommend this experience!
Fair price, a lot of explanation and lucky we got great and clean sky too. Just speechless 😍🥹 thank you for the experience, I will never forget it (just added some pics from my phone, which is already great, but they take one professional pic too)
