I bergen i den vackra toskanska landsbygden, bara 2 km från Siena medeltida centrum, är denna utbildningsvinsturné och provsmakning "Vine, Wine and Life" en 3-timmars rundtur i en ekologisk vingård. Lär dig om de olika stadierna av vin som görs under säsongerna och njut av provningar och en lätt lunch.

På ett mycket enkelt sätt, direkt i vingårdarna, kommer vi att prata om den agronomiska cykeln av våra ekologiska druvor med hjälp av genetik, fysiologi, ekologi, beskärning, jordhantering och skörd.
I källaren tar vi hänsyn till de grundläggande begreppen för kvalitetsvinframställning, analysering av de kemiska, fysiska och mikrobiologiska detaljerna i våra viner under alla huvudsteg i processen från druv till vin: stämningskrossning, alkoholjäsning, maceration , malolatisk fermentering, racking, stabilisering, tappning och förfining.
I vårt utrustade provsmakrum smakar vi 4 av våra ekologiska viner, alla typiska för området, för att förstå alla sensoriska anteckningar med hjälp av våra ögon, näsa och gom. En triumf av uppfattningar för att upphöja det vi älskar mest om vin: den komplexa världen av känslor.
Smakningen kommer att sluta med en "lätt lunch" som kombinerar vin och mat. Vi erbjuder säsongsbetonade menyer för att tillfredsställa gommen och hålla en hälsokropp, kombinera mat med en av våra viner och med vår ekologiska extra virginolivolja.

Excellent overview of vineyard management and the wine production process! John is knowledgeable and very personable. The 4 (actually SIX) wines that we tasted were quite good and the meal accompanying it was excellent (lived the flourless chocolate cake!). All aspects of the 3-4 hours were carefully planned and curated. Thank you for a wonderful Tuscany experience!
We really enjoyed this tour of the gorgeous La Lastra vineyard! Lorenzo was a great guide - knowledgeable and fun! The main house was beautiful and meeting one of their lovely little cats was an added bonus. The lunch served was delicious, and they asked about dietary requirements beforehand which was great as my partner and I are vegetarian. The tour was the perfect mix of laidback, low pressure and genuinely really interesting. You should definitely go here if you’re visiting Siena!!!

This was a great experience. Lorenzo was awesome! The winery is so beautiful. The tour was on point and not too long. The wines were excellent. The food was unbelievable! Only problem was getting a taxi to the winery (a must even if mapping apps make it look walkable). If you rented a car, that would work also. We had a hard time getting a cab from Siena. I think the winery would get a taxi for you if you called that morning. They arranged a taxi for us upon leaving that showed up super quickly. Thank you so much!
This was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy. Lorenzo was an outstanding guide—enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and entertaining from start to finish. The winery tour was informative without feeling rushed, the wines were excellent, and the food was delicious. To top it off, Lorenzo even helped us arrange a taxi back to Siena at the end of the tour. One tip: don’t try to walk to the winery. It looks possible on mapping apps, but it’s much farther and more difficult than it appears. You’ll definitely want to take a taxi. Since taxis can be hard to find in Siena, I recommend messaging the winery in advance to see if they can arrange one for you. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We hope to visit again someday!
Exactly what we were looking for - close to Siena but located in beautiful countryside and organic. High quality greeting area and facilities, fantastic welcome, the guide was knowledgeable, approachable and humorous. The tasting itself was exceptional, excellent range of wine and the lunch far excelled expectations. I would highly recommend this experience.

Fabulous experience. Learned a lot from a very personable guide (Nicholas?) We were two joined by a very pleasant couple. Perfect size. Wines were great and food served during tastings was perfect. Truly the best wine tasting I have had the pleasure of experiencing. Thoroughly enjoyed!
