Private excursion would benefit from better planning
A very rainy day in port meant no hope of seeing Fuji. The ropeway & temple were worth the trip, the ropeway was suspended for a while because of the bad weather. Port day was Wednesday literally nothing was open, and not much to do on rainy days. Our driver Toji was such an interesting character and we drove around listening to stories of his adventures. His English was great, thankfully as our Japanese is terrible. He dropped us for a bit of shopping in the other city close by as there is not much in the centre of Shimizu at all. For a private excursion it could do with more guidance and help for tourists, we didn't know what sites to see when Fuji wasn't out, felt very haphazard! We went to the fish market it was closed, went to the beach, Mt Fuji info centre was closed! The excursion would have benefitted from a bit more planning. There's nothing you can do when Fuji is covered in clouds (which is quite often) it would be good if the tour company had an alternative schedule for rainy/cloudy days. It was an expensive taxi ride for a family of 4.

Trip wasn’t the best - 4 large adults squashed into a saloon car , driver did not speak a word of English so used Google translate - we had no wi fi so could not converse back and weather lousy so did not see Mount Fuji . Asked for partial refund but were declined

Unfortunately, Mount Fuji visibility also depends on weather conditions on the day. Great Tour but Be Advised of Japanese to English Tour Format (Not English Speaking Guide)
Wonderful Tour. Our Guide was so efficient, polite and thoughtful. The language differences made it a bit difficult, but our guide was so kind and helpful that the language barrier evaporated and the overall wonderful experience he provided will remain forever. Highly recommended.

Great tour with our family of 8. Driver was on time and very friendly. July was very hot! 95 degrees.

Mt. Fuji
The experience was fine it was short tour. The temple with the cable car was really awesome. The views are incredible along with the iconic temple. Lots of stars so be warned.
