Blue Lagoon naturliga akvarium fick sitt namn efter filmen med skådespelerskan Brooke Shields med samma namn, en klassisk film från 80-talet. Dess turkosa vatten, med mångfärgade fiskar och filmisk skönhet, gör det till en av de mest besökta och beundrade platserna i Ilha Grande Bay. Den enorma poolen är en fristad för marint liv med otrolig biologisk mångfald. När du flyter under dess korallträdgårdar, omges besökarna snart av färgglada fiskstim som är bortskämda med de godsaker som erbjuds av turister.
Flechas Beach: Vid Praia das Flechas får den generösa växtligheten runt den att smaragdgröna i Atlantskogen att spegla sig i havet som badar denna strand. Med en lång sträcka av sand är Praia das Flechas perfekt för dem som tycker om lugn och ro, såväl som för dem som tycker om lite spänning, särskilt på soliga helger, när platsen blir upptagen. Hem till den första restaurangen i Gipóia, den traditionella Bar do Luiz, dess sand ger en enkel promenad efter lunchen, utan att tappa den imponerande Ilha Grande ur sikte och fartbåtarna som kryssar runt bukten. Platsen har även gastronomisk infrastruktur och boende.
Grumixama Beach är en av stopppunkterna på Ilha Grande. Grumixama Beach är en liten men charmig strand med klar sand och rik Atlantskogsvegetation. Anses vara en av regionens tillflyktsorter på grund av dess låga uppslutning, det är den idealiska platsen att koppla av med ett läckert dopp i havet. Den har en bra sandsträcka, lugnt och genomskinligt vatten. Lämplig för vattensporter som snorkling och dykning, den är omgiven av en stor mängd grönska. Den fridfulla miljön är idealisk för naturälskare, perfekt för att läsa eller beundra den vackra solnedgången som kan ses från platsen.
Ön är en av skatterna i Angra dos Reis. Dess överraskande naturliga skönhet har lugnt, kristallklart vatten i en hisnande turkosblå. Perfekt för simning, snorkling och observation av marint liv. This is my second time taking a speed boat in Angra to visit some of the more secluded beaches and locations like botinhas, only accessible through a boat. The woman that met us at the pier was sweet and made the onboarding process easy. However the boat was a different story. In comparison to my previous speed boat trip, this entire adventure was rushed, and very little care was given in taking us to locations to enjoy ourselves. Our first stop for 45 minutes was nice. After that, we loaded up on the boat and went to a new location. The water was beautiful and blue, but the guide said it was dirty and said he would take us to a different spot. The spot we arrived at had trash floating everywhere in the water, but I got out of the boat anyways and walked the distance of the beach. Getting back to the boat I noticed the guide was occupied with his phone, so I asked if there was a cleaner beach we could go to, as there was trash floating everywhere here. He simply said “yes”. After that, we parked in Lagoa azul, left , then docked somewhere else for lunch. That was pretty much the entire trip highlight. A major disappointment and certainly not worth the 400 reais I paid prior to the 100 reai tax at the central station.

Worse would have been like, we only went to the first stop. Because, according to Marcel, who was driving the boat, Viva Angra, the wind was very strong. We boarded and went to the next island, on this itinerary some things went very wrong, we moved at a speed higher than recommended for the sea/wind conditions, the people were not properly accommodated in the most behind the boat and, worse, a door was not properly locked, abruptly opening and breaking the fingers of my cousin's hand that was near the aforementioned door. We had to go to Ilha Grande, where we had lunch and returned to the hotel when it was possible. With the Junior-driven vessel following safer protocols, compared to the previous driver, accommodating the passengers backwards and coming at a speed compatible with the conditions of navigation. Except for my cousin who should go to the hospital, while telling these facts I had news that he was even taken to the hospital. We have a video of the panic moments we've been through, I haven't decided if I'm here yet.
