Guba-Shahdag-turnén är en resa genom den europeiska delen av Azerbajdzjan. Längs Kaspiska havet längs låglandet Samur-Divichinsky finns en väg som tar turister med semi-express till bergen i norra Kaukasus. En resa till en av de mest populära skidorterna i Azerbajdzjan, belägen på Shahdag-berget – är en resa genom den stora stäppen och de bländande snöiga bergen.

Vi hämtar från centrala hotell i Baku förutom hotell som är belägna i Gamla stan och i närheten. Att gäster kommer till Double Gates - huvudportarna i Gamla stan (Qosha Qala qapisi)
När du kör längs motorvägen M1 som förbinder Azerbajdzjans huvudstad med Rysslands största städer kommer du att se berget Beshbarmak, som ligger nära Kaspiska havets kust. Beshbarmak är en pilgrimsplats för lokalbefolkningen och har tack vare sin höjd och form varit en utmärkt referenspunkt för sjömän sedan urminnes tider. Den heliga platsen "Pir Hydyr Zundzha" ligger vid foten av berget Beshbarmag, där resenärerna stannar för att utföra böner och tillbedjan. Din professionella guide kommer att berätta de mytiska berättelserna som är förknippade med denna plats.
En av Azerbajdzjans vackraste vägsträckor leder cirka 40 kilometer från Guba-Baku motorvägen västerut mot bergsbyn Altiaghaj. Ungefär mitt emellan de två passerar man genom en dramatisk dal flankerad av böljande skifferberg vars häpnadsväckande röda, orange, rosa och kritfärgade virvlar fick den brittiske reseskribenten Mark Elliott (författare till den mycket populära guideboken "Azerbajdzjan") att dubba dem Candy Cane Mountains, ett namn som har fastnat för resenärer sedan dess. De häpnadsväckande färgerna sägs bero på grundvatten som har förändrat oxidationstillståndet för järnföreningar i berget.
Nästa destination blir Guba stad, som ligger i ett av Azerbajdzjans vackraste naturlandskap. På vägen till Guba kommer våra gäster att besöka den unika bosättningen av judar i bergen, "Kaukasiska Jerusalem" - den röda staden. Byn har 13 synagogor, varav två är i drift. Det bor cirka 4-5 tusen judar i Qirmizi Qesebe som är en symbol för pluralism i Azerbajdzjan och en symbol för fred och harmoni mellan de olika religionerna.
Qechresh är en av de största byarna i Guba-regionen. Området är täckt av skog på alla sidor. Qechresh är känt för sina naturliga källor och växter. Längs vägen finns rekreationsområden och restauranger där du kan prova det lokala köket.

Sista punkten på turen kommer att vara Shahdagh Mountain Resort Complex som ligger i Qusar stad. De kan njuta där med olika vinter attraktioner. Det finns aktiviteter som berg- och dalbana, linbana, zipline och ATV-bilar.

We had such a fun trip with our guide Yusif! We visited the Candy Cane Mountains, had a great lunch in Guba, and then headed up to Shahdag which everybody needs to visit when coming to Azerbaijan. Even though it started raining a lot in the mountains, Yusif kept the trip enjoyable and made sure we didn’t miss out. He also took amazing photos of us, which made the day even more special. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing one-day tour to Shahdag today with our guide Mr Murad. Everything was perfectly organized — from transportation to sightseeing — and we truly enjoyed every moment. Candy cane mountain stop timing was ok and the mountains were beautiful, great place for insta photos. Stop at Guba shouldve been shorter, the main restaurant was bad and their food was not good at all. Toilets were not good at Guba and at the stop before jn the market! Saving the extra time spent in Guba couldve made it possible for us to try all the rides at Shadag, have better food options, shisha and enjoy the beautiful green mountains! I also bought my tickets with access to the rides and i discovered there that i have to pay for the zipline separately! I couldnt make it to the roller coaster because of the long queue at the zipline so i ended up losing tickets for 2! Toilets at the stop after Shahdag were not good, ladies cannot use them! We were lucky with the tour guide, Dianara, a very sweet girl kept us all entertained. I recommend group option as the trip is too long!

The guide is very friendly and cheerful. We spent many hours on the old mini van, which can be quite uncomfortable if you have car sickness as it is going up and down of a mountain, and it is stuffy and squeezy for 10 passengers and 1 driver to be in a mini van (I was sitting facing the opposite direction throughout the ride). Unfortunately it rained when we reached Shahdag mountain resort and had to do all the activities in the rain, and we were all wet and cold. We booked for an all inclusive tour so lunch was included. It was a big and quiet restaurant which served us very delicious food.

This trip was alot of fun. Our guide Leyla was very energetic and clear while explaining about the places. Also, the roller coaster in Shahdaq is a must 🎢
